a blurry nohander. nice trick, but the photo isnt got any quality, i think on a better photo where the rider is cristal clear, this would be an insane photo, but there are millions like this
Most shots have there flaws; this one could probably be improved if it was sharper in places. However, myself, a few others, and someone at Pinkbike like 'blurry nohanders'...so I got away with it!
str4egix, i think your mistaking a blurry shot, and a work of art up. There is a difference between someone snappng a picture of their buddy doing a suicide with a point and shoot, and a photographer leading the subject, setting up the aperature and shutter times, adjusting the hues to make what you see before you. i like the effect, adds the illusion of speed to a still image.
Sweet shot - great balance of flash and ambient... However do I detect you were still on first curtain flash? Lots of detail in the rider but I think it might even be a bit crisper with 2nd curtain. All that said though - terrific shot. Made me go "Oooooo!"
Don't think the flash timing would make much of a difference on the sharpness & with it on rear curtain it's really difficult to capture the full extension on tricks like this if you have to click a split sec early. Def possible, just might need a patient rider
Agree with Eric on this (loving though latest shots by the way!!). The extensions are not held for long on jumps of this magnitude, and although shot was only 1/40th , prefer the peace of mind. It's pretty sharp for someone with my aim!!
good pic. there is somethin wierd about it though, shouldnt the rear wheel be bigger then the front since its closer to the camera? the front wheel is WAY bigger in this picture
Im pretty positive it is. It's called the photoshop motion blur filter. He just cut out himself then made a new layer of the background and put some motion blur
Well done pedalpower7443. How do I over come the problem high speed riders background not being blurry enough. I let photo shop add it. Surely it would be easier to just track the rider whilst taking the shot? If you look at it like that it might look like the photographer has nailed it perfectly. Well done rob like your handywork.
