While I was off working on the new project, retarded little kids that lack building acumen hacked down all of my lips and landings down to midget proportions. It was beyond repair back to how it used to be and there are obviously a lot of retarded little kids that know about it now, so it was time to retire Ghettonia. I tore it down because I would rather leave them with rubble and a clean slate than hundreds of hours of my hard work butchered down to poser scale. Ghettonia was a fun trail, but we had sort of outgrown it anyways. Time for me to move onto bigger and better trails and just poach this if they ever rebuild it nicely. We had a good run in there. For now I am just going to keep and eye on this place because I would like to know who is responsible for this. If anybody knows who it was, I will make it worth your while if you tell me. To those responsible: See you around.
Man thats sucks, I've had kids do the same thing to my trails before, so I waited around and one day caught them; told them to f*ck off or I'll see their parents and they never came back.
this is why i never leave tools lying around at my trails though, i lock them up so that if someone came to destroy them the damage they could do would be quite limited...
Its a sad day... watching your build progress has inspired my own trails, and im gutted to see such a sweet spot run into the ground. As a builder I feel your pain with the entire "it was too hard so we made it better" bullshit. Good luck with your new spot, and im sorry for anyone else who enjoyed riding this spot.
I feel you Reck. Our city jumps just got plowed a couple months ago along with my spot that I built this winter, there was a lot of digging hours in there. Although I do have a new spot to build which is secluded so hopefully it will last.
That sucks, been in that situation. Ours weren't as big as yours so o can't imaging the hours you had into it. Don't forget some nails and glass to really put it to rest.
Always wished we could have camped out there and dealt with them....
Respect for putting in the work to take that place to the next level. Certainly some good times there.
