If it was multiple it wouldn't carry the EXIF data as a single photo. If you follow the path and count a realistic 30 seconds you can understand the plausibility of this being one photo.
It's just one pic people. 30 seconds, lights from the bike and a flash where Joost is frozen. No people on the site doing light painting. Trust me, wanna see the raw?
One detail: you can see the shadow of the rider in 2 bank turns ... Except that tiny little detail (that doesn't matter actually)... awesome! Really cool!

This is an amazing photo, Was light paining also used to illuminate the track better as I think I see people with flashlighs in the distance. And why is everyone saying 30 seconds for? long exposures can be longer than that just set to shutter speed to bulb I've done 30min exposures of lakes with ND filters
