Haha.....but on the other hand it's more original than a sea of look-alikes with the mandatory flat-brim bro-brah hat

April Fools 2019: More of the Industry's Jokes
I can't take credit for this but ......"Ah, April 1st: the only day of the year that people critically evaluate things they find on the internet before accepting them as true. Let's make April Fools every day!"

Can We Find a Full Bike’s Worth of Oil Slick Components? - Taipei Cycle Show 2019
I had a Chinese colleague who said it's not only culturally acceptable to copy and steal but it's actually considered clever to do so. He left our company a few years ago and in the process stole IP content and repurposed it at the new company -- entirely proving his point.

Pirelli Launches Scorpion Tire Range
Exactly! A corporation constantly looking for new revenue found a market where people pay $80 for a rubber product that uses 10% of the material in your average $150 car tire. No brainer.

REI to Sell Bontrager Parts & Cannondale's Full Lineup
I'll bet a big dynamic at play is REI replacing sourcing of some stuff it previously got from Vistas Outdoor brands. In March 2018 REI decided to suspend orders of Vista Outdoor products because of the company's connection to the firearms industry. REI previously purchased Vista's Giro, Bell, CamelBak, Camp Chef and Blackburn brands. Bontrager can replace a lot of the Giro, Bell, and Blackburn bike stuff. In May Vista said it would get out of the gun business, but has it? Looks like they haven't.... http://slickgunsnews.com/vista-outdoor-wows-shot-with-insane-number-of-new-products/ Good ridance. Welcome Bontrager.

Video: SRAM's Wireless Eagle AXS Drivetrain Explained
"An entire Eagle AXS XX1 group is claimed to come in 5-grams lighter than its mechanical sibling..." So the weight savings to go electronic is 5 grams plus the avoided minimal weight of one shifter cable and housing? I applaud innovation and progress but I don't see the value proposition
