Interbike Cancelled for 2019
Not to be a further downer but also laying off the event director, sales director, art director, and marketing director doesn't give a lot of confidence for the "alternative plans for 2020 and beyond"

Video: Friday Fails #47
I get the Friday Fails and Movies for Monday thing but it really could be the other way around: Movies on Friday to get everyone pumped to go out riding over the weekend and Fails on Monday to remind us that we're just going to get hurt trying to jump like the pros and we should just get back to work

Review: Thule RoundTrip Traveler Bike Bag
$479 is offensive and indefensible. You could buy a full hitch mount rack from Thule or other brands for around that price. Also, I've found from doing multiple trips that if you're going for a week or less to a riding destination with decent rental shops, it's so much easier just to rent instead of meticulously taking apart, padding and packing your own bike. And you get to try out new bikes, what's not to like about that?!

Review: Bontrager SE4 2.6" Tire
For a lighter 29 x 2.6 tire consider Schwable nobby nics. 840 grams according to PinkBike's 2017 review (versus 1070 grams with the SE4). https://www.pinkbike.com/news/schwalbes-26-inch-nobby-nic-for-29ers-review.html New Addix compound is more durable than previous compound too. Good prices at Bike24.com if you're willing to wait for shipping from Germany. This type of tire is awesome on a hardtail 29er

Ibis Announces New DV9 Carbon Hardtail
@luckbox: Agreed on both. Vanquish looks like perfect geometry but pricey and limited to no more than 2.4 tires. Carbon Chameleon would be really nice. They say they won't make it because it would be too expensive but I don't believe it given what we're seeing made by others. Plus SC makes almost everything else in two flavors of AL and carbon
