@NorCalNomad: bro he didn't want to, you can't buy a bike here for love or money!! My LBS has a guy waiting until March '21 for a new bike! Lol jks, I'm sure Connor can get one, and yeah it's sick racing old bikes!

Pinkbike Poll: How Often Do You Drive to Your Local Trails?
Yeah same. I've got decent trails about 2mins ride from my place. Great trails 10min drive from my place and the 2008 WC track half an hour from my place. Some days I ride, some days I drive.

Specialized Diverge EVO: Gravel Shredder, High-End Hybrid, or Just a Rigid Mountain Bike?
@number44: I bought a '98 Apollo Kosciuszko for $900 new. It was a rigid as well and I loved thrashing fire trails on it one day, bike paths the next. I got rid of it years ago to my eternal regret. Rigid MTB's are like oversized BMX's, so much fun!

A Complete Timeline of Coronavirus' Effects on Mountain Biking [Update: US Open of MTB Cancelled]
This is so dumb. Rather than causing mass panic like this, govts should isolate the vulnerable people from the rest of nd ensure they have all the resources they need. The rest of us can just go about our business as usual. Anyone who has a compromised immune system should stay away from large crowds and be given support. Aged care facilities should be protected like China was doing in Wuhan. Everyone else? Keep calm, carry on and keep pedalling.

So are we gonna restrict all gearing on bikes now? Cause this poor lady stepped out in front of the guy in the UK and he had no chance to avoid her. Same thing would've happened if he was riding that speed on a regular bike. (Which he shouldn't have done). So now you gotta ban all bikes going over 25kph. Just so we can protect everyone equally.

@timbud: The problem is many ebikes die spectacularly when the 25kmh limit kicks in. Then you're riding a fat bike in mud. It kills what should be a good alternative to cars. If you live a 10 or 15min ride away, it's fine. But I live an hours ride away from work. Commuting on an ebike with the speed sensor placed on the pedal instead of the wheel cuts thst down to 40mins, and my Avg speed still isn't above 32. Also any bike will go over 25kmh, even if you've never ridden a bike before - at least once anyway.

Pinkbike Poll: How's the Riding Scene Where You Live?
Dude shutup!! Right now Canberra is perfect - enough riders that there's govt support, but trails aren't too crowded. Most people are super friendly too. I had a guy drive me to hospital when I broke my wrist and back, and today I pulled a girl out of a tree at Stromlo near Echidna Gap to pay it forward. But let's keep it bit of a secret! lol

EWS Updates Rulebook & Lays Out EWS-E Format
Nah PB will turn and embrace ebikes just like they did with 29ers. This place HATED 29ers when they first came out, now the hottest thing is a short travel 29er bike. They'll do the same when they find something else to whinge about.

First Ride: The 2020 Specialized Turbo Levo SL Weighs Only 38 Pounds
@DylanH93: Yup just like getting passed by an XC whippet. I ride my emtb hardtail to work as well and had some fun with a one of these XC guys. He caught up to me at a traffic light and thanked me for giving him some good training while trying to catch me. Also the other day on the way home I gave a solid draft to a roadie struggling uphill in a big headwind.
