Field Test: Scott Ransom
@Mondbiker: It becomes increasingly difficult to keep a slack bike upright in steep, techy climbing. Does anybody care about technical climbing anymore? I dunno.

Your Trail’s Future May Depend On IMBA's New Leader
I want IMBA to do well because public involvement means more trail work and more influence politically. We need it. That said, I stopped my IMBA membership last year and shifted that money to my regional organization when IMBA began lobbying for electric mopeds on bicycle trails. They need to remember their mission and not support every goal of their corporate donors. We already have a group that favors big donors over the mass of participants; it's called Congress.

New Thomson elite dropper. 30.9. covert cable routing. 125mm travel. This post is new, never ridden. I did test fit in in a frame one time, but it has never been assembled or used. It's perfect. I'd just rather use the money to buy parts and tools, rather than run a $480 retail seatpost. I'm sticking with a rigid post for now. If you think this is a good deal for a new post with warranty, buy it. I tried to price it to sell without much hassle or haggling, because that's the way I like to purchase. Thanks for your interest.

Brand new Thomson Elite dropper. Covert. 31.6 Dia. 120mm travel. Purchased this year for a project, but never used. Never installed in a frame. I decided to build the frame for 30.9, so this one sat unused. $295 US. This is a reasonable price, so if you want the post, buy it with confidence (AND THE FACTORY WARRANTY). Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time for low-ball offers. I'd love for this post to be out on the trail getting use. My username plus @gmail.com will get messages to me quickest. Thanks for your interest.

Sam's Modified Norco DH Bike - New Zealand Nationals
When you have more chain-induced anti-squat, you get more chain growth as suspension compresses. This means that when you're applying power, you're increasing the spring rate, since your legs are applying an extending force on the rear suspension. Under power, a bike with lots of chain induced anti-squat will both stiffen and give more annoying pedal kick-back. That said, with too little anti-squat, the bike will sag under power and feel heavy and slow.
