Review: RAAW Madonna V2 - Ready for the Apocalypse
Adjustable chainstay length! This sounds like a real winner - esp for a bike you can’t demo before purchase. Would be interested to know if MK tried out this feature.

New Zealand Health Minister Criticized for Mountain Biking During Lockdown
The most amazing thing is this this is seriously the only thing we have heard about from the health minister during the entire pandemic “sorry Prime Minister for going mountain biking and driving there in a van with my face all over it”. Dr Clark, the health minister, is a doctor of theology. Probably a good thing he’s been leaving it to the actual health experts

Video: Challenging Bikepacking in Craigieburn, New Zealand
Have done Cass Lagoon as day trip both directions several times - it’s epic. There will be some carrying - going light is good. But the steep decent from Cass saddle is definitely rideable the whole way (maybe not if it’s wet) and one of the main reasons I like to go back.

First Ride: Zipp Enters the Mountain Bike World With New 3Zero Moto Carbon Wheels
Sceptical. But not an engineer, so maybe I’m missing something? I don’t see any inherent difference in the nipple/rim interface. In a double wall rim the nipple attaches to only one wall. In the single wall rim this is thicker so might be able to be made a stiffer interface, not more fleet. There is more flex in the rim between the nipple and the bead. I’m imagining flapping my arms like an eagle, not doing the floss dance. But the magnitude of this compliance is small - maybe one mm? This is minuscule compared with the compliance of the Tyre. I run cushcore and can use slightly lower pressure than otherwise so get more compliance that way. I doubt I would notice much from the Zipp wheel - except more compliance in my thinner wallet

Yamaha to Launch Their Own eMTB Lineup
In some terrain, human power alone is not a practical option for many: hence shuttling, chairlifts. Surely those who support the idea of pedaling uphill would prefer eMTB over those other options?

SRAM X-Sync 2 Oval Chainrings - Review
Does anyone have any experience changing chains on the new XSync2 tooth shape? Every time I change a chain on a wolftooth narrow/wide I have to change the chainring also to avoid grinding noises. If the XSync2 allowed two chains per chainring it might be worth it. But I still wouldn't buy one unless they bring out 30T. This shouldn't be a freak item: 30T via 29 wheels is just like 32T on 27.5
