How to Get Your Kids Into Mountain Biking
Having my kid on a MacRide was one of the highlights of his young childhood for me. We had so many amazing features.
He now is a rabid mtb enthusiast and budding trail builder at 8 years old.
My advice for a slightly older kid is do not make them suffer the climbs. A good towing system (I like the retractable kind) makes all the difference in getting them stoked on riding. Tow up and chat then release them to enjoy the descents. Of course bike parks are awesome too.

@ctd07: Pain scale for me...Ruptured nut 9/10, kidney stones 8.5/10, broken neck 7/10, ruptured disc 8.5/10, shoulder separation 9/10, appendicitis followed by emergency surgery 9.5/10, nurses peeling off a t-shirt that fused to my completely road rashed back ( they were attending to more serious matters for me) 11/10 LOL.

Marin's Madrone Trail Hardtail is a Throwback to 1986 (And I Want One)
Marin is such a cool brand. Props for doing this. If I didn't already have a similar vintage type bike for running errands etc I'd be on this.

Updated: Martin Maes To Race World Champs On A 32" / 27.5” Orbea Rallon DH - Val Di Sole 2026
Having ridden mtb for a long time I can say that bikes now are unequivocally better than they were 10, 15 and 20 years ago so I'm here for the progression.
I was slow to jump on 29 but I watched it get dialed in and did it when it made sense. No need to worry and go all in right away. Just see where it shakes out.

First Ride: The Yeti MT Aims to Do It All
@Pdrenth: Specialized totally hooked me up after a rock strike smashed my downtube. It wasn't free but they replaced my outgoing model Enduro with a new model for a few hundred $$. It may not be everyone's experience but I've had nothing but good warranty experiences with the big S.
