Counterpoint: Gearboxes Are Overhyped
I have had a Pinion for two years and just had my second failure. The first was catastrophic and the cranks couldn't even turn. The second was a seal failure allowing all the oil to drain.
During the same two years I wore out an aluminum gates pulley and damaged the belt with normal use and following correct protocols.
I cannot recommend gearbox/belt any less.
