Crimea - A Paradise to be Discovered
As Russian, I'm all against Putin and his gang who usurpated governance and making Russia sink in corruption and outlaw, but Crimea is not an easy question for me.
Yes, that referendum was bullshit and illegal in all terms, but the fact is that Crimea people (Russians are ~60% in 2001) mostly supported this move...
Anyway, we will not see legitimate referendum until Putin is president.

e*thirteen's Radical Cassette and New Carbon Cranks - Sea Otter 2015
I'm not rocket engineer but my expirience tells me that cranking 9t with 27t front (3:1) will be much less efficient than 11t with 33t (same 3:1)
Will be great if anybody can share research on this topic.

First Look: 2015 Shimano XTR – Eleven Speed Cassette - Choose Your Drivetrain
SRAM did great thing introducing 1x drivetrain, but I think 10t cog is BullShit, because it makes tangible power loss due to small cog size and poor chainline.
So the 2x10 affair seems reasonable.
Also, as it was mentioned above, XTR in 1x setup looses 0.5-1 gear compared to XX1, but you can keep your standard freehub, and that's a good deal.
