@justanotherusername: I agree with you on tthe trail bike crowd, but for xc bikes I tend to disagree. A lot of buyers follow the racing but not the "gear". One good example is Scott and Nino Schurter. You can see it on road bikes also, Pinarello and Froome or Colnago and Pogi.

@vooselagina: I believe sospeedy was referring to the fact that this bike doesn't have the straight downtube present on the fuel ex/remedy/slash that "increases rigidity" and makes it impossible for the crown to clear it
