6 Clip-In Trail Pedals Ridden & Rated
@bigtim: I have the ones that came with my XT's their black. I have a fresh set as well that I could install. My last set of Shimano's were the Deore or something I put the fresh set of cleats on because they kept releasing and cranked the tension but it turned out the tension hex head was striped because it couldn't overcome the spring force before the hex would slip. My Time/Mavics just sucked and the spring just plain wore out got weak it was way worse than flats.

6 Clip-In Trail Pedals Ridden & Rated
I must doing something wrong because neither Shimano or Time pedals can hold my feet. I've had more close calls and because of accidental cleat release than hard charging. Most of these releases happen on step-downs or trying to get a bit more insurance boost. I just plain wear pedals and cleats out without much effort, not sure if I need or want to run Shimano's XT's at max tension but so far I don't. I really like the extra control of being clipped in the harder I ride but I need to figure out a better setup with lots of rotation with pedal tension that doesn't deteriorate over a short time.

Yoann Barelli Starts YouTube Channel Breaking Down the World’s Gnarliest Trails
Hey Yoann, the builders name is Andrew Boyd and Treasure Trail was the first MTB trail he built. He built it to ride on his hard tail, when his trail dog Loki got to sick for the long ride he started walking in with her instead, the feature you called the "penis' is actually nicknamed the Cobra Head. His goal or vision was to build a trail that riders couldn't "onsite" which means clean on their first try. Like many trail builders he never asked for anything to build this trail but once someone brought him a pair of riding shorts while he was still working on it. His next build is pretty dope as well.

Point: Suspension Lockout Levers Have Made Bikes Worse
If I could only remember to flick the switch at the top of the climb before descending Id have no beef with the RT lever.

Review: Hayes' New Dominion A4 Brake
They had the worst lever adjustment location under the lever! It was just a long grub screw that would bend easily and then strip out the 2mm opening when you tried to make an adjustment. But it was the best we had at the time and way better than the Vbrakes it replaced.
