Marin Mount Vision Medium (Price Drop)

$700 USD
It has come time to sell my Marin Mount Vision. It has been an excellent bike to me for many years and still has many more to offer. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to ride like I used to so it's ready for another rider to enjoy. Frame does have some scratches and dings including one dent in the rear left triangle (posted in pictures). Brakes are Shimano SLX and function great, rotors are also Shimano and replaced at the same time. Fork does need a service (seals were replaced back in 2016 by a shop) and the rear shock functions great and is a tank. Converted it to a 1x drivetrain early into my ownership and it functions excellently. Comes with the Saint pedals including extra screws. Rear is converted to a thru axle with the Marin kit and has a Nukeproof Generator TR 26" wheel. Seat is Nukeproof as the seat post is a Commencal Super Lite Ride Alpha seatpost, comes with a Hope clamp. Comes mounted with a set of newer Hans Dampf tires and will throw in a set of Maxxis Holy Roller Dirt track tires for free. I believe the bike is either a 2008 or 2009 model though not 100% sure. The bike will come with some of the original Marin parts since it was stock when purchased. Has some solid parts on it and still has room to add your personal touches. Will ship within country via Bike Flights, buyer pays shipping. Price is negotiable.

Opinion: Save the DH Bike?
Here's the solution. Instead of buying a $6k enduro bike, buy a used dh and trail bike for less than that. I will never justify paying $6k for a bike that basically does what most $2k bikes do but with carbon parts...

Opinion: Save the DH Bike?
I really like this idea. The lower the price the better!

Opinion: Save the DH Bike?
I see a lot of posts agreeing with this article, and many of them are saying that they have gotten older and found it in their better interest to buy an enduro bike and sell the DH rig. I can understand this obviously as many have stated that after years of DH riding enduro/trail riding is less harmful on the body. Also it is a better all arounder because of bike parks becoming more about smooth flow while you can still take that same bike out on a local trail. I feel like, though, that the younger riders are being canceled out a bit. There is still plenty of people who haven't been riding DH for years who enjoy ripping up steep trails and bike parks on DH rigs. The DH bike still has a place because there still will always remain the group who wants to go bigger and ride harder than most want to. It's a very purpose built heavy hitting rig and still good fun to ride at the bike park. It makes much more sense depending on your location which bike you buy. It's not like they can make Red Bull Rampage bigger and better on enduro bikes so I really don't see DH bikes dying off, just scaling down a bit.

Dainese Rider Support Program 2017
They are looking for growing athletes that could really be on top a podium or in a magazine one day. They will have a good selection of people to sort through and get plenty of advertisement out of it. In marketing sometimes you take a short term loss for long term gain.

Ask Pinkbike: Carbon or Aluminum, Norco Sight or Optic?
Carbon is great if you can afford it, but for the price i'll stick to alum bikes. Been riding a 2009 marin mount vision and have beat the hell out of it, so far i've put a golfball sized dent in the chainstay and the bike is still going strong.
