Interview: World Cup Downhill Riders' Union Rep Emilie Siegenthaler
@earthwormjim007: and of people have been paying attention to articles on Pinkbike they would see the pattern. I don't have the specific articles to link, but there have been more than a few detailing the large multi national corporation buyouts of bike brands and wholesalers in the last year or so. The past few years have seen a huge increase in bike sales (recreation, MTB, ebike, commuter ebikes) and such massive corporations are looking to cash in. It is not too much of a stretch of the imagination to see this as an extension of that trend...

@Puddings: that is such a well articulated, and slightly concerning point, you make. Unfortunately that sounds like a scarily possibly prediction for the future of the sport

@donpinpon29: could be something in the pipeline based on what Rob Warner said at the end of the post race show, something about Red Bull having plans

@korev: she is one my favourite, and I think one of the best, riders to watch men or women, when it's wet, wild and muddy. The woods at Leogang being the obvious example too. She has this strange mixed of control and wildness, which I know doesn't make sense really

@korev: it is excruciating at times to listen to her commentate. I do think it's good and proper to have a women in the commentary booth, but listen to how much Elliot has progressed in the time he's been doing it. And Tracey just hasn't. Its not great.

@Giddyhitch: also some of the new research is suggesting that light exercise is the best for recovery, not the dark and quiet environment as previously recommended. But obviously with cabaret of no chance of injury so something like a static bike I guess. Again though, doesn't really seem to have been made particularly public knowledge

Final Results from the Lourdes DH World Cup 2022
@LucasCYCLES: it's amazing that Finn can be considered an underdog though, when think about how long he has had red bull and factory support. Racing seasons of world cup tracks before he was even in Junior category. Looks to be matching his speed with an ability to keep it pinned, not binned
