10 Things I Loved in 2022: Henry Quinney
@vinay: Olives crush/seal around the hose and to the lever port. This is used in other industries (household plumbing etc.) The barb supports the hose so the olive can crush around it making one seal. The olive crushes into the lever port making a seal. These seals are needed to handle the hydraulic pressure generated when you squeeze the brakes. Every brake manufacturer recommends replacing olives and barbs when disconnecting and reconnecting brake lines to ensure your brakes work without leaking/losing pressure when squeezing lever.

Poll: How Do You Actually Feel About Cable Routing?
There's only one reason mountain bikes are seeing internally routed headsets, It's cheaper/easier to produce carbon frames without a hole and cable routing in the head tube. This savings equals profit for the manufacturer. This is about money plain and simple.

First Look: Öhlins RXF34 m.2 Downcountry Fork
Floating axles allow for fork width and hub width to be independent of each other, the fork doesn't compress to meet the hub, instead the axle inserts farther through the fork to bottom out on the hub and then the fork clamps to the axle, this allows the fork to remain "parallel".
