I'm 50 this year. I've been riding bikes since I was 5. Switched to mountain bikes in 1990. Raced XC in Texas til 1999. Work as a homicide detective got in the way, and I burned out on the racing. Now I just do it for the love. Loads of injuries from 28 years in law enforcement may have slowed me down, but I won't stop.

Rocky Hill, Warda, Waco, Tyler, that ranch in St. Jo. Big Bend. Raced all that back in the 1990's.

2 hours vs 2 day drive. No question this opens up opportunities. Drive up Friday night, come home Sunday evening. We hit it once a month and saved our AFBP money for Whistler.

Three more lift builds happening. Big Bend, Davis Mountains and outside Guadalupe Peak. All complete by 2022.

Geoff Kabush's Race Diary From the Whiskey 50
I picked up my first mountain bike in 1990 at 29 years of age. I still ride a few times a week and downhill at AFBP each summer. Hurts like hell though. Still get the grin on my face afterwards.
