Crankworx Announces DH Plans for 2023 Including $130,000 Prize Money & Rob Warner On the Mic
Yes, yes, yes to this!!
I've been fortunate enough to attend Crankworx events in Rotorua and Whistler, and they are such a good festivals to experience! The UCI DH I attended at Fort William was great (because of the fans, not the weather) but it's not got the same vibe, possibly because it's just the DH at that event. If Crankworx is successful with this and can crank it up for all the events and festival vibes to be hosted at more locations, then there's no reason that it can't become the leading DH event series too...especially if the prizemoney can continue to grow and be a true, respectful award for the risks the riders put themselves through.
I'm all for it!

Feb 10, 2023Buzzrack bike rack - Tow ball mount
$40 GBP3 bike rack that's only good for 2 bikes at the minute, but works as it should, just doesn't look as pretty as it used to. I've changed car and now carry bikes on roof racks, so have no need for this tow ball mounted rack any more.
It's well used over the last 4-5 years. Paint has flaked off on the swing arms and the metal is rusty looking but is physically sound. It no longer sits perfectly level when mounted, as a fat friend sat on the left side so it's slightly lower on one side than the other (approx 10 degree angle I'd say), but still works just fine. The metal fixing plate for the single bike mount on the rear most rack is damaged, so not safe to use. It's identical to the other one for the twin bike mount, so if you want to get one made by a metal fabricator, then you can get this back up to carrying 3 bikes.
The flip mechanism works as it should, so you can still open the hatchback boot when bikes are loaded. All lights and indicators work as they should. Still has 2 keys that work to secure the rack to the towball and the original spanner for securing the bolt
It's a shame to throw something that works away, but it'll be going in the skip when I'm doing garden renovations at Easter, if nobody takes it. Hence why it's listed at a reasonable price, and it'll do somebody just fine if they aren't bothered about how it looks. I would still be using it if I hadn't got a new car. It's safely carried two bikes that are worth more than the old car, so nothing to worry about in terms of carrying your beautiful bike securely! Even XL 29ers are secure, even though the wheel base is a bit too long for the racks, it still works securely and safely.
This link show's the newer model of the same rack from Buzzrack, which are approx £300 brand new. I paid £220 for mine brand new in 2018.

I've been honest about the condition, but let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully it can keep on living it's best life with somebody, otherwise it's off to landfill :(

First Look: Cube's 2023 Lineup
@rrolly: Still doesn't instill confidence for anyone thinking of buying one second hand. I wouldn't buy one second hand, knowing there's a risk it could 'blow up' on me and need a full rebuild with better internals by a pro. But I love my Ohlins TTX22M coil that I replaced it with though, so I'm not too upset in the grand scheme of things!

First Look: Cube's 2023 Lineup
@motdrawde: my 2022 Fox x2 is for sale on PB BuySell...it's one of 60 2021-22 shocks that are for sale on there in the UK alone...that no one wants to buy. Whilst mine never had any issues, the fact nobody wants to buy them says everything about the issues these recent models have had!

Crankworx Summer Series Set to Return Ahead of Rotorua in New Zealand
I miss living in New Zealand 3 Spent most of my time on the north island and riding around Wellington, which was great, but there's so much of the south island left to explore and ride!

Queenstown Bike Festival Kicks Off 10 Days of Riding & Racing
@dkendy1: QT is NZ's answer to Whistler...beyond beautiful scenery and amazing mountain sports scene, but far too many tourists for me to want to live there! I've spent time in Fernie and other small Kootenay towns in BC, and would pick one of those over the bigger destination towns to call home if I could. My year in Nelson, BC was possibly the best year of my life 3

Nukeproof Welcomes DJ Brandt & Brooke Trine
@CSdirt: maybe so...definitely not the current Dissent frame...but Brooke's black frame has a bottle cage on it, somehow I don't think the new Dissent will have bolts for a bottle cage! Plus they both have the bolts for the tools/tube on the underside of the tob tube...pretty sure they are Giga's, since I own one!
