2013 Red Bull Rampage: ARRIVE
The road to Rampage takes many forms, we arrive in packs and groves to the event site, some as stowaways and hitchhikers, some invited and some hoping for a chance to qualify. Whether we are here as athletes, builders, staff or media, when we step out of our rides and into the loose powdery dirt, breath in the dry dust filled air and anticipate the first of many nose bleeds and sunburns, we feel a mix of excitement and dread for the coming days. We are here. We have arrived at Rampage.

| Thomas Vanderham has the most calming presence on course, he has had nothing but smiles to share. |

| Athletes fill out the participation forms and waivers, answering questions like "What three things would you want if you were stranded on a desert island?" and absolving everyone but themselves of liability for their participation in Rampage. |

| Highly sought after Red Bull swag, handed out with wristbands and athlete packages at check-in. |

| Sunrise tomorrow will bring the first allowed tracks for photographers on course and some insight into what the athletes will be facing this year. |

I'm missing the last weekend of the season here in Ontario for shuttle riding at Blue Mountain so this is a perfect time for some needed recovery and a great excuse to sit in front of the TV/Internet and catch up.
