AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH... OLD SCHOOL SON!!! Love it...
  • 14 0
For the benefit of further educating the younger crowd... pinkbike, please get in touch with Race Face and put up the finalists of all the Ultimate Freeride Challenges, specifically the one-armed hucker and the dude riding on cables. This is a great start, though Wink

Thank you sooo much pinkbike for this. I remember when this was THE show for me on extreme sports tv back in the days. Have probably seen it 10 times, but I really belive I'll enjoy it most now. I really wanted to ride any of the bikes or trails they had but nothing compared to the freakin bus with flames that would take you to new epic trail every day. Actually, I still want that one Big Grin
  • 13 1
This is what turned me from BMX to DJ then Dh Razz back on 413 extreme channel Big Grin
  • 53 0
I miss the good old days and that bus! If you guys like I'll post the rest of the seasons.

  • 1 0
CanĀ“t believe this is now oldschool
  • 1 1
its not.. old school is like vintage... 20 years + is old school.. many things happen in 5 years from age 15.. i can see how everything is old school to them....
  • 2 0
Tim please post the rest of seasons :-) Drop In got me stoked on biking! Get Dylan Tremblay and the boys back out shredding :-> watching Steve do that road gap was amazing !!
  • 1 0

This show should still be on the air, just feature new riders each year who push the sport...What I wouldnt give to be on that bus touring and enjoying life, nature, people, the road.. I WANNT BE ON DROP IN!!! This show made my life seriously, Id run back home from school just to watch this and then try to shred my K2 Sesh BMX like a Djer. Ahhhh the good ol days, life flies by too quick, Huck it, Ride it, Whip it! Wink

Glad you guys are still stoked on the show! I'll be posting more seasons right away. Subscribe and stay tuned. I'll keep everyone updated. There's a small chance we can bring the show back with new seasons!!!!
  • 8 0
Post new zealand season!! Spangler was a beast there
  • 3 0
Thanks Tim for producing such an awesome series. As shown by the comments here, it was extremely influential to the mountain bike community.
So many big name riders (mostly as they were just becoming known) were in the series or made guest appearances it's hard to count. I'm sure the exposure they got on Drop In helped many get noticed by far more fans and potential sponsors than they would have otherwise.
Best mountain bike series ever!
  • 1 0
New seasons sound great Tim!! ....fingers crossed for that! Can Drop-In S1 be purchased anywhere? It's the only season I'm missing.
  • 2 0
@Zalevsky Spangler was a beast for getting right back up from that badass nasty splatter crash he had there.
  • 8 0
I'm just happy there's still fans and interest! If we can show a broadcaster there's a lot of interest then we can put a plan together, choose the riders and get season 6 going! watch, share, and subscribe!
  • 1 0
Awesome! Haven't seen season 1 in ages, this came out right around when I was getting into riding! Thanks a ton for posting, would love to see a new season!
  • 1 0
 Whyd you punch the wall?
Cause I ripped my pants..
lmao
(Y)
  • 3 0
Whereabouts can find these on DVD? The only season I currently own is Season 3 and it's the only one I can ever find. Thanks
  • 18 0
Awesome. This series was the reason why I bought a 50 pound freeride bike in 2002.
  • 2 0
 Kona Stinky with Super Monsters?

That was actually 55 lbs...

And I know that because a guy I rode with named Satan Lee (I don't know his real first name, he could honestly be Satan though) had that same freaking setup back around that time period!!!
  • 2 0
RM7DH with Shivers. I didn't get super monsters for it until last year...
  • 2 3
 Knolly V-Tach with 888s.
  • 3 0
Changing tubes on double wide rims and schwalbe space tires i remember as letĀ“s say challenging
  • 12 1
Super T. Such a legend. Him and Romo are the reason I wanted to ride so badly!
  • 1 0
I did my pe gcse work on romo hahaaa Razz
  • 3 0
They were on Season 2 !
  • 1 0
I see Romo at Silver Star occasionally and he is still shredding like a legend!
  • 6 0
woohoo- word has it that the mainstream freeride movement was birthed right there on that very bus. I happened to be camping at Capilano campground in Vancouver when they were there back almost 15 years ago, I never forgot the favour that was entrusted to me from them guys. Thanks
  • 3 1
 What kind of favour?.....
  • 7 0
Drop In TV gets full credit for the reason why I ride a bike today. Got me into it and kept me into it. Big Salute to the Drop In Crew!
  • 8 0
Wow, sure feel like an OG when you see yourself in throwback thursday stuff that's over 10 years old.
  • 2 0
OG! Lone wolf was a young'n in that loops seggy. I remember when Darren went down on that road gap, I have footage of that laying around somewhere still. One of the gnarlest crashes Ive ever witnessed. I Still vividly remember the sound of him landing on the road….
  • 1 0
crazyness.. That fall was just un freakin real. I remember when i saw that episode back when I was like 12, dropped my jaw. Watch season 1 again today and I have even more of an appreciation for riding listenin to what some of these guys say, and go through. MADS respect and Love for you guys. Standing O!
  • 8 0
 fuck..........ya
  • 6 0
 Agreed. Best throwback!
  • 2 0
 Missed this soo much!!
  • 5 0
Hell yeah, these guys were my heros when I started riding. I remember when they came to fernie for this season, Im pretty sure I was 9 haha.
  • 3 0
I would like to start crowd sourcing for a documentary I will produce entitled "Where in the World is Dylan Tremblay?". The Film will feature interviews with contemporary professional mountain bikers and industry leaders and will track Dylan's inevitable descent into obscurity. Kind of like Searching for Sugarman... but with mountain biking.
  • 1 0
I've run into him in Parksville a few years ago at the skatepark there. I think he's still bummin around the island somewhere!
  • 5 0
Make a new season... Would be cool to compare how things have evolved through the years.
  • 4 2
 Life behind bars !
  • 3 1
TouchĆ©, but bring back the old guys. Dylan, super t, and the like. Live to see where they are with their riding, if at all.
  • 4 0
It would just be horrible dubstep and slow motion shots of berms being "railed".
This old stuff is much better.
  • 1 0
dude, shawn denny looks SO old
  • 4 0
I'm working on maybe bringing the show back to life! Easiest way to get it infront of a real broadcaster is show the size of following. this would be through YouTube subscriptions and likes on the Drop In facebook page www.facebook.com/dropintv
  • 1 0
 DOO IIIITTT!!! ^^^^^
Smile
  • 5 0
Hoy Shit! This is literally all i watched when i was like 8 ha best show ever!!!!!! I want that bus.
  • 2 0
wow, that makes me feel old...
  • 4 0
Yes!! I have been looking to watch these for so long! Back in my BMX days this was the only kind of biking you could see on TV so we soaked it up.
  • 3 0
I still remember Darren Butler's crash in Kamloops getting coverage in the Calgary Herald newspaper before the episode aired. It blew my mind that guys were doing that on bikes.
  • 2 0
Man,that was by far the hardest episodes to watch.
  • 2 0
one of the scariest moments of my life!
  • 1 0
hello tim bieber, man you and your crew are the reasons i started riding.
  • 2 0
What are these guys doing today (except for Kinrade and Romo)? Are they still riding?
  • 4 0
This is THE reason I am into Mountain biking! FUCKING AWESOME! Please keep posting up more seasons, I wanna see Season 3 again, so much rad stuff went down that year!
  • 2 0
Good skillz PB!!! Gutted season 6 never happened. best Mtb series ever!! My fave had to be season 4 in NZ with the NZ guy on the Santa Cruz having 'issues' with everyone. Loved that dude, complex cat but top rider Smile
Or was my fave season 3 with a young C Mac and all those north shore skinnies??
  • 2 0
knobby tires on street, big burly DH rigs, 24" rears and a whole lotta Bomber action up front.

Those were the days.

I remember running outside after episode one, grabbing my bike and heading to the first bleachers I could find to practice some trisl moves like Denny.... on my XC bike! Smile
  • 2 0
Two weeks ago I got the chance to meet and have lunch with the now 'retired' Dylan Tremblay. It was super neat to ask all the questions I have been pressed to ask since I watched the show many years back. Then... Today as I was driving around town I see the old Drop In bus in someones back yard!!!! It still looks exactly the same!!
  • 3 0
Dear Pinkbike. Thanks for ruining, but making my thursday. So much homework to do, but this just made up for the shitty regular school day Big Grin
  • 4 0
OMG pinkbike you have no idea, I freaked out when I saw this. you just ,made my week! thank you!
  • 1 0
The most anticipated TV programme of my childhood! From the times when internet was not as easily accessible as today, from the times when it all began, the spark arouse and changed into a fire that's now burning inside me... thanks!
  • 1 0
This show probably did so much for mountain biking by makin tons of new riders. Drop In was the reason i wanted to move to bc as a kid, and now i live in kelowna. would be so sick to see it brought back, would also be really good for the sport
  • 1 0
Been watching these episodes all morning, had never seen drop in before! So cool , wish i woulda known about this series , maybe i would be better lol na, but thanks PB for puttin this up an makin my halloween morning badass!!!!!!!
  • 1 0
I am so glad to see this up on pb.I have the dvd collection and my kids love watching Tyler, Dylan, Steve and all the other greats. This brings lots of great memories of the days we rode Vedder mt with all the gang. Very happy to hear the possibility of a comeback. ... Cheers Derek
  • 1 0
I don't remember the exact season and episode, but there was one story that makes me laugh whenever I recall it. One of the guests to the crew, that rode a hardtail freeride bike with rear hydraulic rim brake was put into a large washing machine. They filmed it when he looked outside through the round window being rolled slowly inside the machine.
  • 1 0
So awesome to see the bikes and tech from that day! Man am i glad I'm still riding. The Claw is classic in the Van Island episode! He looks so baked with his bandana and REALLY baggy jeans thrown 3's and seat gabs long before anyone else. No wonder Big D and the Freeride Entertainment crew have done so much together! The jumps look so loose too man those guys have that shit totally dialled now!
  • 1 0
drop in old school an still totally awesome the old Norco team dh an the specialized bighit ultimate bomb proof rigs seem to be still going strong in these days bring bk the old school bikes more reliable than todays shit lol
  • 3 0

  • 2 0
This show was ground breaking. Influenced the lives of many, and showed the world the beauty of BC. I dropped everything if I saw that it was on.
  • 1 0
Have so much to thank this tv series for, knowing what to say when you're being filmed and ready to go, wanting to go 'BIG' and huck off anything, drooling over a specialized big hit of all bikes! what tv mtb gold!
  • 3 0
Geoff Gulevich as a kid! Season 1, Episode 11 at 9 min 26 seconds. Thanks for posting these!
  • 4 0
would love to see a season 1 reunion

5 PRO FREERIDERS TAKING CALCULATED RISKS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IMMITATED! Yeah right, thats what everyone went out and tried to do!! Hahah soo great!
  • 1 0
You can actually see how heavy those big bikes are when they pop off a little rise or lip and barely get em off the ground haha, but yeah, full credit, this is an awesome flashback!
  • 2 0
episode 4 that race face stem is the same one I have on my 04 bighit damn its old thinking about it now hahaha killer stem though strong

  • 3 0

  • 1 0
Hahaha the CAlgary episode is so greasy; Daver hitting McMahon on a Snipes, P-Waste at COP, and shaggy's being "The Man Line". I love biking
  • 1 0
dude - i still sometimes walk by those stairs at McMahon and am blown away by that huck... you have to pedal pretty hard into it and make a slight adjustment to the left in order to not die.
  • 1 0
