Review: The New 2024 Scott Ransom 900 RC Has All The Integration
Looks good IMHO, they've always seemed to be a brand that gets a lot of hate for their designs but then they break from tradition and people in general always seem to be quite fixed in their ways. However after riding various generations of the Genius and using the shock lock out on climbs always helped when i rode them. Like a few others the replacement of the headset bearing would be a needlessly long job, perhaps if the brakes were on a hydraulic quick release at the lever end similar to the one that used to come on the reverb that would speed up the process, but i would add i live somewhere very wet and the bike constantly gets washed and i would say my hope bearings generally last for about 18 months. given that most people seem to only own a bike for about 2 years these days they might need to get it doe before selling it. It wouldn't be worth the investment in the part for the bike company to be honest

Field Test: 2022 Propain Hugene - The Definition of Balanced
That climbing efficiency test seems like a waste of time, never seems to match what riders expect despite what they say in this video

Field Test: 2022 Niner Jet 9 RDO - The Easy Rider
@whambat: Unless your planning to race XC on this obviously not XC bike, who cares? if it feels good to ride, is it not good to ride? strange review in my opinion.

Field Test: 2022 Niner Jet 9 RDO - The Easy Rider
I don't mind the "Pedal Dammit" its kinda their thing they've been doing since the companies inception. Like the yeti cartoons that was situated in the same place on the Yeti's. Its funny because i remember that short travel Kona, the 111? or something, all the reviews wen crazy, short travel but slack. It just shows that really really reviews are almost pointless unless it reveals a significant weakness or is being marketed as something it is not. In many respects the Jet 9 isn't touted as a race bike, so comes down to riders choice, if you like it, and we are all different, then its the right bike for you. Go test ride one. With respect to the wheels sizes, Niner don't do bikes built around anything smaller than a 29inch frame, you either put 29er wheels and tires on it or 650b+ which is only negligibly smaller than 29, hence the frames are still all 29er

Haven't shimano already done this with the Saint rear derailleur a few years back with the M800, it used to bolt on to the end of the through axle

Tested: Does a Lockout Actually Make Climbing Faster?
I only ever lock the rear, so i would replace 4 with "Get to the bottom of the trail, think "wow, that felt good", look down realise the rear shock is locked, and think maybe Aaron Gwin has a point!

Not A Review: Getting Through Lockdown on a Jitsie Varial 24" Trials Bike
Couldn't you just get someone like Ali Clarkson to do the odd review? he already does the odd review on his youtube channel, and is a handy trials/street trials rider

Burning Question: What Next After the COVID Bike Boom?
@rickybobby18: sadly its not that simple in the UK, as someone who volunteers a lot of time in to a local trail system on public owned land i am seeing that the increase in participation has if anything exacerbated any of the existing issues and created some new ones, particularly the increase in ebike use (which i will just point out i am not against the bikes or use of them). The crazy truth in the UK where i volunteer is that the response to increase use of the trails has meant the land owner (forestry commission) have actually closed some of the "wild trails".
