MTB Mars:The ShRED Planet
i think it was a great idea with poor execution. the white glow and almost constant presence of trees and shrubs and even a house never let my brain think that was mars. I love simmons and tippie don't get me wrong, and the song would fit an olympus mons session like a glove, but yeah I can´t look past the reddened landscape and poorly hidden vegetation. the wallpapes are awsome though! despite the earth being far too big in the sky, other than that, they are amazing!

i think the pic is amazing! mtb is about freedom and contact with nature and this one captures that really well!

Black Friday - Online Deals
My local shops (in Lisbon) are run by incompetent, unconsiderate people, description which also fits most of the employees. They are rude to customers, expensive (10€ to press a headset), unprofessional and worst of all: bloody incompetent! left my bike there once to service the fork and bleed brakes, and when it was done my front brake pads were gone (ruined by suspension oil they used), and replaced by the most expensive ones in the shop; the bleeding was as good as shit; the suspension had the stickers ruined by the ridiculous amount of oil that was on the outside of the fork and also had the stantions were rotated each one to it's side, instead of the travel limit indicator on each leg being turned towards the front. Once ordered a bottom bracket 2 weeks before going to a bikepark, and told them i needed it in 2 weeks."oh, no problem whatsoever...a couple of days and it will be here", they said...a week went by and they didn't call me. I called them and it turns out they had called their supplyer right after i made the order, and the supplyer said they didn't have the bottom bracket in stock, and it would take a while. turns out that these fuckers were not even going to bother themselves calling me to let me know about this. the moment they realized there was no money to be made that instant, they couldn't care less about a repeating customer's needs...and this is not just one shop, no! it's all of them!! amazing how they keep their doors open....i guess it's because they are all shit, no one raises the bar and therefore they just drag themselves along. I have learned to fix and replace almost anything on a bike because of these idiots, and online stores are the reason I can afford to do so. so yeah, in my experience: online bike shops rule and local bike shops are a FUCKING JOKE.

Video: Aaron Dobie - Mystery
@math_05stp: you must not be listening that well because it happens a lot more than just once.either that or YOU are trolling?? anyway..i owned 4 avid brakes: juicy 3. juicy 5, code and code R. they very rarely squeaked when dry but when wet they were unbearable! i guess all brakes do that anyway so it's not avid's fault. that being said, i still switched from the old code R's to the new shimano XT's and i'm never looking back! they break like walls when you need but have awsome modulation and heat dispersion with the finned pads. then the adjustments....i mean, the only thing I could possibly ask for is 4 pistons but these brakes are so good i don't think it would make that much a difference....oh and i ride downhill by the way

Pinkbike Poll: The One Bike
@ jejQ: now that's what i call a man! right now i'm 25 and I haven't met a climb I couldn't attack (from the ones i actualy want to anyway), let's just hope we can keep that up for as long as we ride bikes! it's amazing how steep and far a little fitness and determination will get you. I picked 180mm plus tough and reckon that at 65 I will need a little bit more than a little fitness and determination to get me to the top on such a rig!
