This new bike rides like a dream. I was lucky enought to test ride a prototype and then pre realese bike for a number of rides as an ambassador for Zerode. I am also clearly biased... It has clear advancements on the previous models, if you have ridden any of them or own one. Vast improvement in body positioning for climbing, but the most importantly handles like a dream when you head down the hill. The so called 'drag' of a belt driven bike is small, but a racer may not like the time it takes to engage vs a traditional derailluer set up. That said, one oil change per year, no replacing a cassette, chain and chain ring every 4-6 months or tearing off said derrailuer and having the weight centred in the bike is a game changer. The bike allows you run the largest dropper on earth- if you actually need it, at 6ft I run a 185mm and no issues with having it low enough for jumping or steep technical descents. The increased TT length is also a plus at my height, I run a 40mm stem with the increased stack and it gives a tad more room for your knees while climbing and is stable while riding tech and high speed descents. Yes, I am an ambassador but I chose to support Zerode because of their bikes are excellent for the riding I do, the low maintainance and their customer support is absolutely top notch, without a Shadow of a doubt...
