Course Preview: Smooth Sailing - Albstadt World Cup XC 2019
Wow! Massive Destruction. That is what happens when german engineering creates a tsunami resistant mtb-track.

Sick Bicycle Co Responds to Anger Over Undelivered Frames
I found them annoying from the first moment on, inflated show-offs, and yes, I wouldn't mind if there were no more advertisements for a lot of hot air here.

Anton Cooper Criticizes Albstadt World Cup Course for Lack of Technicality
Unfortunately, this is the general approach with trails in this part of Germany. In the last 30 years they have gravelled an infinite number of beaten paths or turned forest paths into wide corridors. It's totally depressing. Meanwhile I ride a hardtail with racing bike handlebars and narrow tires because there are no more challenging trails.

Anton Cooper Criticizes Albstadt World Cup Course for Lack of Technicality
Yes, the young trailbuilder. In the past, MTBs used to be ridden on paths that were compressed by use. Today trails are milled out with machines. And then gravel is stamped on it. And then there is 2cm topsoil, or painted brown. He doesn't even know anymore what a natural way is.

Curtis Bikes' New Thumpercross Steel Downhill Bike - Bespoked Show 2019
"There's not a machine in sight at the Curtis workshop..." That sentence made me curious. and really... Great workshop and great craftsmanship.

Check Out: 6 New Riding Packs for Spring 2019
When you fit everything for an overnighter(sleeping bag, cooker, small air mattress and perhaps a camera and something to eat), the bag is pretty full.

I had the Deuter Trans Alpine Pro 28l backpack before, but within the warranty period the harness started to come loose. That took 3.5 months to repair. To bridge the repair period, I bought the Evoc Explorer Pro 30l, which is better by classes (it sits really well on the back), and I also had problems with the Deuter backpacks rubbing on back of iliac crest(hope thats the right word). Evoc also has a bit more volume, which really helps with overnighters or camera equipment. But I have a used Deuter to sell ;-)

Video: Gee Atherton's Course Preview - Maribor DH World Cup 2019
Claudio`s previews were more entertaining, but Gee`s previews are so much better, because he is up to actual race speed, and after watching lots of hysterical Claudio┬┤s runs its just better someone comment calmly and with racers insight. Great line choice through the rock garden btw.

Pinkbike's Predictions: EWS Tasmania 2019
Great to see that there are no shuttles this time. It was painful to see how in New Zealand the riders are mainly shuttled by a huge fleet of pickup trucks. This seems to be fashionable right now, really exzessiv at Andes Pacifico. It seemed that car industry found a way lobbying for pickup trucks in EWS events...

Review: Newmen Evolution A.30 Wheels
@MordFan: I have done a multi day tour last year, where exactly this happened. J-bend spoke broke near body of DT 370 hub and blocked cassette & freewheel randomly. Go back? Then I remembered that for spoke hubs you could pull out freewheel-body. I then removed the wheel and pulled out the cassette, which was really easy(fortunately !). Fetched out rest of spoke and reinstalled free hub with installed cassette and could go on for rest of tour, without replacing spoke. But really liked that having 32 spokes, think this would be more a problem with less spokes.
