Video: How To Get Kids Hooked On Mountain Biking - How To Bike with Ben Cathro
@blinglespeed: all you said, and focus on incremental progress. When I coached, we had a philosophy of moving participants along the progress chain only once the skill they're working on was coming naturally and with little to no apprehension.

Orange Bikes Resumes Trading Under Owner Ashley Ball
Good points. There’s interest in the brand in North America, primarily among older riders who remember Orange in its prime. Innovation is crucial to growing a whole new clientele.

Podcast: Rob Warner Opens Up
Hockey broadcasting in Canada is like that. When Ron McLean is retired, hockey commentary is sure to be a snoozer.

Rebuilt: Grant Allen's Path from Rampage Rider to Paralympian
Grant came to Kelowna around 2003 or 04 and hit the Gillard road gap which had never been done before. He came up short catching the edge of the road with his rear wheel. I may be recalling wrong, but he might have broken his leg. He inspired us locals to go out and sort out the speed and trajectory needed to make it work and that’s what we did, building a new, solid take off and tuning the landing. The gap was hit successfully by Steve Romanuik, Ryan Schnepf and Nathan Kamila. By the end of that first session, Steve was throwing no footers and one foot tables off of it. Shortly after, when Steve and Ryan were on Drop In TV, we set it up again, parked the tour bus and a dump truck on the road below and the boys sessioned the gap again for the show. At one point, Steve had his mom come out to watch which she never did and he had a pretty big crash off the gap. We decommissioned it after that so that anyone with more cajones than skill couldn’t take themselves out on it. Long story short, Grant was ahead of his time and an inspiration.

Pinkbike Poll: What's Your Favorite Type of Mountain Bike Racing?
@Stuartkbmx: true! Reminds me of hermit crab racing in Costa Rica. Dig a trench in the sand, place your crabs side be each, grab a beer and lay back and watch (for a while). First crab to the end of the trench wins (LOOK AT THE TIME!!!!!!)
