My MTB life started in Phoenix then was put in life support during 10 years living in Buffalo, and is now in full swing again in San Diego.

Video: 13 Year Olds Absolutely Send These Days
@WildboiBen: that’s actually exactly what parents and responsible adults are supposed to do… give room for freedom and exploration but establish boundaries that minimize the chance of life altering or life ending injuries.

We Are One Offers Arrival Rolling Chassis Option
@toooldtodieyoung: Only paying hundreds of dollars a month sounds like a dream. Finally got our son into a daycare after a couple years on waitlists and paying a nanny about $4,200/month…now spend about $2,500/month. Kid #2 is on the way…and we’re moving to Europe.

Nov 4, 2023SRAM GX AXS Shifter/derailleur set - never installed
$350 USDSelling a brand new GX AXS shifter, derailleur, battery and charger that came with my new bike but I asked them not to install during assembly because I’m an old fashioned cable guy.
It has a matchmaker for certain SRAM brakes, but you’ll need a bar mount or a different matchmaker if you’re running other brakes.
Local pickup in San Diego only. I live in Hillcrest and work in Sorrento Valley so could work out whatever is most convenient. Please let me know if you have any questions or want to see any of the packages opened.
Thanks!
Chris

Pinkbike Poll: What Are Your Must-Have Features On a New Mountain Bike?
@thebradjohns: Though the first brand I saw to do headset routing on their ebike. That was a sad day.

Pinkbike Poll: How Often Do You Ride Instead of Drive?
Most cities I’ve lived in give you the option of living near trails or living near amenities - but not both. Also, to live near trails often means contributing to urban sprawl that bulldozes natural areas with trails and enhances our reliance on cars. Hope to one day live in one of those magical places where I can use the bike to get me to the grocery store, the bar, and the trail...

Pinkbike Poll: What Factors Influence Your Bike Purchasing Decisions?
IF you can actually find one to ride. The ability to demo a bike is key...ideally on familiar trails. After purchasing a great bike without a demo (Transition Sentinel) that I just couldn’t fully enjoy (probably just because I’m awkwardly between sizes), I learned the hard lesson not to ever again spend $5k+ on a bike I haven’t ridden.
