I used to be a megafan, now I won't look at it with my behind. And there are a few reasons. STARS: back in the day when Jared Graves dominated EWS or when Sam Hill moved to Enduro. There were people battling and it was exciting to see who comes out on the top. TECH: racers rode prototype stuff that you could not buy the week after it was first seen on a pro's bike. Racers put CC tires on to carry more speed on flatter mountains or other tricks to gain a little extra time. It was actually interesting to read the "tech randoms". INNOVATION: big steps in innovation like when Yeti came out with the SB150. it seems like the innovation has just slowed down or companies are not focussing on it so much anymore. It does not seem like there are these disruptive leaps every now and again anymore. MEDIA: I have never watched these 40+ minutes videos the EWS started to put out there. It was too long. too much talking. not exciting enough. But the reason to watch any of this seems to get smaller and smaller over time when you can just watch 5 reels of each 10 seconds and basically know what happened. AGE: maybe we are all getting older and there are not enough young people actually reading Pinkbike anymore. And being older I mean not being so excited about new stuff anymore. Shift in priorities. PAST PRODUCT LIFECYCLE. Maybe enduro was just earlier at a place, where downhill is headed too. to me it seems like downhill is fading fast too. It is really difficult to watch. only teams like specialized and Aon manage to keep the "tech randoms" interesting. It gets boring real quick reading about DH bar ends all the time. If that is the only thing to talk about I rather look at a wall than pinkbike articles. ELECTRONIC STUFF: yes it is cool stuff and it makes our bikes better. But it just does not excite me to read about it. Or maybe it is just me. After 35+ years of MTB it can seem like i've seen it before. like with the news 32" wheels. It was innovation when we changed from 26 to 29" then 27.5" was a thing but now it seems like an innovation for the sake of changing things up. not to make it actually better. End of old man rant. Haha!

The MX set is cool. Just gotta make sure to get the one with 29 front and 27.5 rear and not vice versa…

I just mesured mine and it is far from 150mm travel. I will need to go to the rampage site to make it go past 130mm…

that bit just before the wooden berm is very steep and you come into a compression pretty fast plus you need to brake at the same time. it is just not visible on the video how steep most of the terrain is there.

does anyone know more on that fast rebound topic? is it a front and rear thing or rear only in an effort to maximise traktion in the front? or just in relation to past bike setup? i remember vouilloz was famous for having trampoline like rebound settings. was he ahead?
