The End of Intense Factory Racing Officially Announced
It's the outdoor industry as a whole. Nike laid off a huge chunk of their staff. REI is massively cutting back on their preseasons. It's not just the bike stuff. Inflation hit, companies way over ordered for 22/23/24, people went back to work and sold their toys, etc. Great time to buy new toys though, it's as cheap as it's gonna be for a years.

Signa Sports United's Internetstores GmbH Declares Insolvency
I work in the outdoor clothing industry. Fortunately we knew the pendulum was gonna swing backwards, but holy crap it blew my mind how many big names didn't. Straight up moronic optimism.

Video: The RAD Trails Crew Test Their Handiwork
So awesome we have more pro level riders actually building trails commercially. If a builder can't ride at the level their trail is rated at, it's probably not going to be great.

This zone is the biggest fkin tease ever if you live in Oregon. Great video but I'm not sure if I can watch anymore content from that spot.

Review: O-Chain's Active Spider Adds Suppleness & Silence
I use one, works great. Makes the DH bike more quiet. The biggest thing I noticed other than suspension performance is a reduction in feedback. I've had some ankle issues from poor mobility and after long or harsh dh runs would have a lot of pain and tightness. That's all gone now. Would consider using on my trail bike now as well.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 144 - Interview with an Illegal Trail Builder
@sspiff: Thurston Hills Natural Area in Springfield has Chinquapin Chutes, the steep black tech trail, they also have a new Black Sage built trail called Super Maple that's a fun fast blue machine. Eugene has Pipedream in the south hills which is accessible from the Ridgeline hiking trail, and is shuttleable via the Fox Hollow parking lot. The BLM jump trail is called "The Gift" which is at Carpenters Bypass AKA Whypass. The last one is south of Eugene about 30 minutes. I'd recommend using a trail app to find these, particularly Chinquapin Chutes doesn't have great signage yet and that area can be confusing to new users. The Gift can be a little tricky as well since it's real short like all the trails at Whypass.
