5 Products I Loved in 2021: Mike Levy
@mikelevy: I don’t think that’s an exaggeration, id take a set of my ideal tires for $130 right now… obviously you weren’t at veloswap Denver… where you could get used sets of tires for as low at $60 as long as you weren’t concerned about things like tread, or sidewall cords showing…

@KalkhoffKiller: if you won’t ride because you’re held back by 26” or steep angles, you’re not being held back by the bike…

Video: Building a Wild 'Gravity Bike' from Scrap
That’s not a bike. It’s not human powered. Why is it here? All trolling aside, pretty dang sweet. Top notch garage engineering. Kudos!

Round Up: Wet Weather Setup Tricks from EWS & World Cup Racing
@barp: you just can’t wipe the sticky stuff off the downtube, but it just falls off the tape. Same mastic I make waves with a chain stay silencer. Works great. If you’re in CO - Ride CB mixed/moto trails in October and you’ll see what I mean (teo, drs, Reno/flag/deadman) or even summit county mixed moto trails after any rain (please don’t ride the mtb trails after a rain…) Fwiw I don’t use this technique (yet) but… I may next time I ride those spots… the mud is terrible!

You don’t pull the tape off, you rub your hand down the waves and the dirt just falls off.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 88 - Mountain Biking on a Budget
Building bikes on a budget… I saw a video for the cdale Dave and it had a pike dj and a deck tape down tube sticker. I bought a dave and it’s a manitou and a normal gloss over. I know it’s tough times for supplies etc but how often to these types of switcheroos (have to) happen? Any funny stories from the inside that project managers would to tell anonymously?
