Two young guns have been added to the rider list for Proving Grounds on the women’s side, Oregon’s Brooke Anderson and BC’s Gracey Hemstreet. The September 10th-11th event will feature the world's top men and women pro athletes as well as these up and comers.

bigquotesThe format blurs the lines between Big Mountain and Slopestyle, and the course is custom-built to allow athletes to choose their line from multiple options that suit their skill, style, and strengths. The goal of Proving Grounds is to create a new event format for the sport of Freeride and provide a media hub for the athletes, sport and industry to showcase this dynamic sport to a broader audience.Proving Grounds

I am keen to see Dylan Stark throw down, he is insane on a bike and I would love to see him at rampage

Dylan for sure throws down hard and tricks come heavy hucks so massive props to the dude. I haven't seen him ride much big mountain which requires impeccable bike handling, handling that is required at Rampage or you can get seriously hurt. That being said, I'm excited for him to blow our minds in that category if he earns the chance too!

Ahh yes, my favorite riders Redd Boggs, Billy Meaclam, and Bienve Aquado Alba. Off-brand/aquatic versions of Reed Boggs, Billy Meaclem and Bienve Aguado.

No Fairclaugh and no Semenuk, may as well cancel it and just wait for Rampage.

@DoubleCrownAddict: Why would Semenuk be at proving grounds?

What’s with all the article titles withholding names now? This one just refers to the riders as rising talent. The Olympic articles just refer to the rider as Olympic champion. The titles just read very weird now.
  • 9 0
The Olympics articles are written for that to avoid spoiling race results for those who watch replays.

@Angu58: Or maybe things are just transitioning to clickbait titles

@bikesandfun: They just have a corporate standard for titles at Outside Wink

Wow Reece goes straight from commentating on hardline to competing in proving grounds! What a guy!

This is going to turn into something. Very cool. 2019 was a blast with Black Sage being there too. Bummer the events aren't together anymore. Highlight was my little boys getting to meet Jordi and Casey for a bit just before Jordi passed. The kiddos getting to casually hangout, high five with the legends was pretty incredible. Cheers to Cam and Tyler for being nothing but cool with the kids too. What a great scene, Sept cant come soon enough. Stoked for the ladies side of this too...what a crew!!! Let's hope Tyler, Kyle and Vorheis are around a bunch too!

Loved Black Sage Fest. I got to meet my hero, Jordie, as well. Absolutely rad dude. RIP. All riders were so approachable, and just stoked to be riding and cheered by fans of all ages.

Would love to see Isted at Rampage

wait a minute, if there's women on the list then will we see the first woman to ride Rampage later this year?
  • 1 0
Proving Grounds is no longer a Rampage qualifying event.
  • 1 3
VanDork- They already have a women's Rampage event.....
  • 2 0
@scott-townes: did they? cause if you're talking about formation, then you're mistaken.

there should be a women's division of the Rampage competition. Id watch it for sure. all the women on this roster are impressive and skilled riders.
  • 2 0
@deepstrut: Yeah, I guess riding in a judged format on lines you create in Virgin is nothing like Rampage....

If you've been paying attention to Rampage and Formation, you'd know why women have their own event instead of their own division at rampage.

@noakeabean: yes, hopefully. It seems like if you were to have a downill bike slopestyle competition, you would invite the best slopestyler out there rn
  • 1 0
Yeah bummer to miss him!! He was there in 2019.

And there are tons of videos of it. It's nuts. I'd like to see them approach the UCI to get it regulated.
