Join Monster Energy as we delve into the lives of the fastest DH racers on the planet. Over an 8-part series, we follow our elite athletes to their hometowns and find out what goes on outside of the race tape. From Australia to North America and Europe, we travelled the globe to get behind-the-scenes, unfiltered access to the greatest in the game.
We step outside of the pits and into the living rooms, home tracks and private lives of the professional racers to understand what it takes to make it on the World Cup. In a sport where time is everything, we slow it down to understand what makes these racers tick.
Episode 2 features ‘Redcar Rocket’ Danny Hart, the long-time World Cup racer has been pedalling hard since taking podiums in Juniors and is a regular Top 3 finisher overall. 2019 was a dominant year for the quietly-spoken Englishman and he’s been training hard in the off-season to come back stronger than ever. Notoriously known for one of the most famous runs in history at the Champery World Champs in 2011, where he took the win with a clear 11-second lead, he’s been making history ever since with his impressive riding. Find out what keeps this DH legend at the top of his game in Between the Races.
Episode 3 will feature Mark ‘Shark’ Wallace, the silent assassin from Canada.

I read this comment and the scrolled up to the article and my eyes tricked me and I thought I saw the word elves. On closer inspection, the word used was DELVE. Funny how the mind works lol
I tune in specifically watch his race runs on RedBull TV, they are always among the most exciting. So loose and and fast, a great racer. Good luck this year Danny!
if you have not watched his POV winning run at the 2019 WC.. OMG.. this is insane.. the lines splitting through the rock gardens.. so much respect for him and can't wait to see him in 2020!!
@mate1998: I wouldn't take it that seriously. Reference to truck brand fervor/loyalty and a nod to Rob's comment at the finish of Danny's other worldly World Champ's win a few years ago.
I am also a guy from redcar and I love the way he talks about the town. People don't know how lucky they are to live in this small part of the world. Hope 2020 is a success and I would love to see him sneak that overall this year.
We'll soon have Errington Woods looking like a proper bike park if the trail fairies keep at it! Then we'll have MTB'ers from all over the world coming to the area to see where Danny cut his teeth. It's a shame about the Rkade though, I know Danny spent a lot of time in there as a kid (I hated him at the time, he was clearly the best rider and my ego and lack of talent made me despise him, then I grew up and appreciated his spectacular ability on a bike and his unrelenting work ethic)
@Ash-Ash: nicely said and I do hope we get another skatepark soon. Am gonna start riding errington more as its getting good up there now. I usually stick to guis and descend.
I want Danny on the Podium every week, just to hear him speak! The dude has the coolest voice and accent ever! Oh ya and he looks it on the bike!
Rooting for Ya Danny!
Could be part of an enduro loop. UK has one off events at different places. Plus its on an old stubble field. So not a true motocross track. Its not easy to keep tracks in the UK. People moan.
