[Updated] Revenue Round Up: Shimano Breaks Sales Records & More from Q4 Reports
@justanotherusername: not that your comparison is even remotely accurate but you seemed to have mixed up your own words. Clearly the buns would be parts and the meat would be complete bikes... So what you should have ended up with was "just the buns now eh?"

Inside Pivot's Secret Carbon Fiber R&D Facility
@cmi85: Yah, it would be cool to have frames "made in the good ole' USA" but Asia has it more dialed than any US manufacturer could ever accomplish. They have access to the materials, the workforce, the facilities and distribution lines to produce a top tier product at a price that the consumer can still stomach. US workers are expensive (as in very expensive) so the bikes we know and love that fall in that 4k to 10k range would easily double in cost in order to mass produce on our home soil.

Inside Pivot's Secret Carbon Fiber R&D Facility
Factories in Asia have the process dialed and are held at such high standards - a little american flag on the frame stating is was "built here" doesnt mean its any less likely to fail

Review: Rossignol Heretic - Not Quite Ready for Prime Time
@IMeasureStuff: It can work but I feel like the bike-boom bandwagon shouldn't be the determining factor to suddenly build a bike. Bikes are complex and (most) buyers have been groomed to understand what a quality bike consists of. Companies trying to capitalize on the tail end of this boom rather than take the time will produce exactly what Rossi produced... A rushed sub par product that will ultimately just result in a bit of tarnish on a companies name that otherwise has a great reputation in a different sport.
