East Burke Vermont plays host to one of the best trail networks in the country - The Kingdom Trails. Vermont Native, Alex McAndrew is lucky enough to have these trails right in his backyard and takes full advantage of everything they have to offer. Over the past couple months, Alex and I have teamed up to create our fourth short film "Patrolling The Kingdom." Enjoy!

Directed, Filmed, and Edited by Henry Miles and Alex McAndrew.

Thanks to Transition Bikes, Fox Racing Shox, The Kingdom Trails, and Novatec for their support.

Music: "Light Me Up" - Bronze Radio Return

Video almost looks like it's been sped up for dramatic flow purposes.

Kingdom is one of the few places that even the climbs are enjoyable.

I was so happy to go get one final ride in up there today. Then get home and watched this and I feel like I might as well have just rode my bike down to the store and back....why can't I ride like this....

You guys crushed it...the Kingdom is so freaking good!

anytime there's more than a 2 second pause in my bike group's conversation - someone inevitably utters "cant wait for KT
next year" to which we always nod in unison.

we all go there every year and it just keeps getting better and better.

Tame trails from a tech point of view, sure, but it certainly looks like fun to be able to rip around them at speed like the rider was. Last shot shows some mountains off in the distance so perhaps the tech lives there.

LOTS of tech, solitude and adventure all over Vermont. KT is an anomaly here. A great one though!

go there and ride freeride trail! he is just sending everything so smooth that he made the steepest trail on the mountain look some good old kt flow.

Jeez that dirt... So jealous here in So-drought-Cal.

Patrolling? Looked more like racing with style. I don't think Alex let off the gas once.

Bike is a Transition Patrol i think. Definitely has the gas to the floor the whole session!

There was nothing covert about that operation.

I got back yesterday from three days of riding KT for the first time and I was totally blown away. Simply put, I am happy to pay to ride those trails because all the hard work put in shows in every turn.

Upper J Bar? friend of mine was thinking moose alley - i'd like to know as well
  • 3 0
I hit Upper J Bar last year during nembafest, but didn't recall seeing that feature specifically. Perhaps one of the other trails from the top. (as mentioned)

That rock is on Freeride Trail
  • 2 0
 Thanks!
  • 2 0
Freeride and DH trails may well make up for all the tech sections "missing" down in Darling Hill trails.
95% of KT riders would regret venturing of there Be warned...
  • 1 0
Agreed, I definitely enjoyed the tech on upper J Bar, even if it was fairly wet and sketchy. Truth be told, while KT is an awesome place, and unique to it's own - I do miss my rocks and typical tech found locally.
