Cannondale Scalpel Si Hi-Mod Black Inc Large

$4000 USD
2018 Cannondale Scalpel Si Hi-Mod Black Inc Large - $4000 (cash pickup) - I didn't so much as wipe the bike down after my last ride. It has some dirt and trail debris. It's a mountain bike after all. - This is a fantastic cross country bike. It’s well, a scalpel. As a cross country bike, I love it. What I have come to realize is that for the riding I do a cross country bike is not what I want. I end up spending almost all of my time on my trail or enduro bikes. - The bike has 925mi on it. It is meticulously maintained. It has never let me down. - I converted it to 1x before it was ever ridden. I’ve never thought once that I needed two chainrings in front. I have the front mech, shifter and front chainrings. They come with the bike. - I put a 2deg angle headset in that also converts it to a standard steer tube. The 2deg totally changed the bike. It actually changes the geometry to within a few mm of the newer Scalpel’s. It’s a lot more stable on the front end and has a lot more feel on the edge of traction. The standard steer stem, bearings, etc to put it back to how it came are included if you want to do that (you don’t!) - It has a brand new set of 30mm Enve M6 rims. The Enve rims that came with it have a bad habit of pulling the spokes out. The rims have maybe 50mi on them. - The OEM carbon Prologo seat cracked. Cannondale wouldn’t replace it. I replaced it with a WTB Volt with Titanium rails. - I was having a tough time getting the ENVE seatpost tight enough to prevent the nose of the saddle from slowly creeping up. I’m a pretty big/strong for a MTB’r. I put the Thomson Masterpiece on and never had another problem. It’s actually lighter than the ENVE too. You can have both seatpost with the bike. - The front “fork” has a fresh rebuild. It has maybe 50mi on it. - The rear shock is brand new/ zero miles. It also comes with the original shock which only has about 50mi on the rebuild. Something goofy is going on with the lockout in it though. Probably easily fixed. Your choice, you get two shocks. - The lockout lever/button is brand new too. It was purchased when trying to figure out the lockout issues (it wasn’t the lever/button). I think I may have the original lever/button around here somewhere. If I do, you can have it. - I put a Nobby Nic on the front for more traction (again, bigger guy). It has a Racing Ralph on the rear with only about 50mi on it. - Comes with brand new set of spare tires (same that are on the bike). - Comes with spare/new chainring. - Comes with original Enve carbon flat handlebars if you don’t want to run the risers that are on the bike now. - The chain maybe has 50mi on it. It’s whatever the top shelf non Ti Nitride or DLC KMC is. - It’s set up tubeless. - I wasn’t sure I was going to like the Shimano Di2. I was WRONG! It’s awesome. You will love it. - Doesn’t come with pedals or grips. - Don’t ask me how much it weighs. That is a silly question. One, I don’t know. Two, and most importantly what would you compare it to? Unless the two bikes being compared are running the same tires, have or don’t have pedals, have or don’t have sealant in the tires (or how much), etc, etc, etc. you can’t compare two bikes. If you want a light cross country bike it literally doesn’t get much if any lighter than this. If you want it even lighter go full “weight weenie” on it and you could have something as light as any World Cup bike is. ________________________________ It can be shipped anywhere in CONUS. Boxing/shipping charges are on you. I would expect it to be about $300. - If you want to use PayPal as payment please add 4% to cover fees or send Friends & Family. Thanks!

Downcountry Fork Review: Öhlins RXF34 m.2 vs Fox 34
Having come from racing Superbike I think all Ohlins need to be gold. I couldn't bring myself to buy a black Ohlins fork. Not to mention the Fox (which I have a 32,34 &36 of) sounds quite a bit nicer than the Ohlins. Too bad, Ohlins absolutely owns the Superbkike market. It's not like they don't understand suspension.

10 Pro Mechanics' Favorite Tools at the Albstadt XC World Cup Season Opener
Except none of those bikes are owned by dentists. They're race team bikes. Good job on outing yourself for being an underachieving jealous wanker though. If you spent less time being angry about what you don’t have you would have more time to make money to buy the things you want. You’re probably just a lazy and entitled though.

It has some nicks in the frame (there are pics). Just so you know this is not a super minty never left the garage bike. It was ridden. - When I got the bike it was stripped down to the frame and anything questionable was replaced. I did not want to be out of town having bike issues.
