Video: Flat Out & Wild 90s Racing at Thredbo
I raced Thredbo MTB Nationals in 94 & 95 on a fully rigid Merida albontech ( bonded aluminium via steel luggs frame). Back in the day, they had “DH, XC, Dual Slalom and UP HILL” ... Which we all did on the one bike. Now that was an action packed weekend of racing, seriously got your money’s worth!

Same here. Tried to buy them from the Oz Hayes importer, for like $1000au when they had been out for a year in the US. Oz Importer wasn’t interested, an did not foresee them trying. Im on magura M5’s at present, very happy with (After years of living with XTR & Saints varying bite points)

If you get “towed in” by a Non Acoustic surf board. Is it still surfing? And will the new $20k E-Surf boards get constant, an i mean constant reviews in regularly surfing publications?

Cascade Components Announces Kona Process 153 Link
We are lead to believe that most big bike companies have great engineers, and riders testing out prototypes. I dont think this is the case. A number of companies just type in orders, an colors ways to a Asian manufacturer. Within a week of owning my last bike, i knew something was wrong with the shock tune. And eventually worked out, after 2 different shocks an custom tunes. That the leverage ratio was all wack an couldnt be fixed. ( Cascade Components now do a fix, for that model bike. Which sounds awesome buy the way) Numerous big bike companies are putting in minimal design effort, and marketing for maximum returns. Its a small business i guess, and isnt space engineering.

Throwback Thursday: 7 Cool Things From Eurobike That Never Made It Big
Last month i blew up another GX derailer, on my Enduro bike. An whilst waiting for the new parts to arrive, I took the bike out for a number of chain less DH sessions. Its very addictive, and to me feels like the difference between deep powder skiing, and carving ice groomer turns. The bike is silent, and rear end works divine. I now under stand why so many Whistler locals go chain-less, soo much fun. PS: I've also done a water bucket bleed on the brakes on my trials bike. Its very weird mentally, to have brakes still work afterwards. But super clean!
