loved the bit were he had to cool the discs down with the steem coming of it thats some pretty serious braking lol sick vid

yup^^^^^, the discs get hot and expand slightly, and when you pour cold water on them, they contract back to normal size again extremely quick, and this can cause warpage and even micro-fissures in the metal. best to let them cool down naturally

but surely if they are that hot, only if you have really good brakes, you will lose your break fluid

basicly when a disc gets hot like on the vid its expends now when you pour water on them they contract very quickly and bend out of shape or some some cases crack and you can boil brake fluid lol although that would take some doin youre discs would fail before youre brake fluid boils

brake fluid doesn't boil but it does precipitate, that's why you get air bubbles in your lines even though its a sealed system

Dot fluid can boil but the boiling point in lets say dot 5 is 270 degrees celcius 518 degrees Farenheight, Are you going to ever get that on a small brake and rotor that are air cooled hell no. All these people here saying pouring water on your hot rotor is going to warp are hallarious. Rotors are brought to 1000 degrees celcius and then cooled with water cooled plates.
