7d Test
Nothing special, just a few clips from a few different rides. Just testing out the new camera, and settings. Hopefully have a decent length edit soon! All shot on a Canon 7d with a 50mm 1.8 and a Rode videomic.

Some of that purposeful out of focus shooting can look good, especially that freehand stuff, but be sure not to over do it. A lot of those shots could've looked great in focus, mostly the riding ones, but I think you chose to overkill the use of the shallow DOF by not just setting the camera up on a tripod and testing the focus point. I think that's something you're really going to have to work on to have a video of good quality that you can utelise with a camera like a 7D.
Also, I would expect a fair bit of higher quality from such a high calibre camera as the 7D, try to get your export settings mint. Can be a bit of a struggle at first but once you do find something that works well and will give you the best quality possible, stick to it!
Seeing as this is a test video, I thought you might have wanted some feedback for future projects. All of these points are just ways that I personally think will enhance your future videos.
Just keep at it, mate.

Yeah, cheers for the feedback.
Some of that is purposeful, a lot of that was the first time I had shot with the camera, so i was getting used to having to focus. Also half the shooting i had done there I had forgotten to bring my tripod out with me, so that's why they look like unsteady crappy shots.
The export was a bit confusing too, i had the settings perfect, and it's looks perfectly crisp on the computer, but Pinkbike have literally RAPED the resolution and frame rate when they converted it :L

When did you do the majority of this filming, just wondering cuz I am choked about winter hitting here with the -30 and snow. What is the single pivot that gets loaded up at the end of your vid??

Cheers. Yeah, absolutely loving it ! it's great because I can switch between photos and video instantly, and the output of both is immense! The frame rate is very good, and give good slo-mo and the low light is awesome with the 1.8. Also love the picture styles, so easy to change the look of the footage! Definately reccomend it!
