A Taste Of Revelstoke
http://www.vimeo.com/18831398 This is an edit I made to show people just how good the snow in Revelstoke is and how deep it always is. This was filmed over the course of winter break and into January. The snow just keeps on coming. Enjoy! Go to Link for full Description

Drove through Revy last Saturday, Jan 22 on my way to Whistler. If the snow in town is any indication of what's on the mountain it must be insane! Its currently raining in Whistler. Wrong choice, but oh well. Still skiing, even if its in the rain.

I prefere Revy over Whistler any time. Much less crowded and Im a sucker for the small interior BC resorts. Give me two lifts, gladed forrests, alot of fall line skiing and Im happy.
Another resort (although in Alberta) that is extreamly charming is Castle Mountain. If you can hit it on a non windy day and after a snowfall then you got a mountain full of pow to share with 40 people and its a damn good mountain as well.

The original shot is just a photo but what i do in photo shop is select what i want to have in 3D and make a new layer with it then go erase that in the background so when you move it it doesnt just have a black background then go into after effects and import the psd file and make them 3d and adjust the depth of the layers. then create a new camera. i used a 35mm and just play around with your angles til you get something you like. really confusing i know it took me a week to get it actually smooth.

Only downside is that the main side of the mountain is south facing hence snow not lasting there as long as on other resorts. The north bowl expansion is great though.
