so, i'm thinking, personally, my own opinion, this would/could possibly maybe be VOD

first, this isn't even closely related to worlds. second, Sam had worlds till he crashed 200m from the finish line, and his time was way ahead of Gee's but the crash made him lose it.
but good video. the rampage is going to be crazy now, all the riders have progressed so much and the technology now is going to be able to take it.

totally stoked about the rampage. If you ask me, thats real mountain biking, not slope style. If anyone knows where I can get details about the event please message me. And the minute you can ride as well as Sam Hill and Gee Atherton, you can compare them. Both riders should be respected

i disagree i would way rather watch a good smooth slopestyle comp than redbull rampage but it all depends, atleast gee brings some style into rampage instead of going captain stiffy off everything.

Racers go fast and make it look nice. The true freerider adapts to whats going on, and throws down.

wow...props to squamishturtle. i agree with everything you said. hahaha captain stiffy off everything. thats great! and in a lot of cases true. (in rampage)

and when i thought that monster were the main energy drink supplier...back come red bull.
I don't think people can compare this with slopestyle. It's a completely different thing. This takes balls, slopestyle, not so much, but more skill and trick technique.
This just shows that Gee is one of the best all rounders in Mountain biking.

i really dont like s;opestyle at all no creativity. cant wait for rampage, i should compete and win.

As far as freeride competitions go i think rampage beats slopestyle. Freeride is all about using the creativity you have as well as your own personal riding style. I don't think any competition lets the riders do that better than Rampage. I loved watching how each rider chose their line based off of their own riding style. and how two riders could hit the same line and make it look completely different.

super sick vid..with some crazy shots...after all it is freeride enter. totally agree with the VODness of it!

slopestyle vs rampage argument? why doesnt someone just combine them? build your own line down a cliff but incorperate step-ups, wallrides etc - something like the line in the shimano testing grounds video with vanderham - that line over the rock was sweet, especially how it all flowed together with style and a bit of balls!

i actually just got back from zion and it was a pretty tight without anybody bikng there i can't imagine how awesome it would be with the rampage

For me it´s clear, that you must learn to ride your bike down a hill, like downhillers do, than learn to huck some big drops and gaps.....and than......and than...comes the rampage. Therefor are serious skills neccesery, huck down like mad and land in dust and shit. to take northshore things and that is quite easy, but this is totaly different
Big respect for dropping and wipping down this cliffs!

odin333, u cant say "but if" or "what if" or "had he not". the fact is that he DID crash and theres nothing anyone can say about it. it doenst matter how he crashed or where he crashed the fact is that he went down and gee atherton had a faster time at the end of the day. thats downhill racing for u my friend. people crash. and loose because of it
