Nick Simcik 2012 Season Edit

Nick and I put most of our focus into shooting at Trestle Bike Park, different bike parks around Boulder, and a few competitions. I had a press pass lined up for Rampage but Nick and I were only going to be allowed to shoot one day of practice so I didn't end up going. Congrats to Nick again for making it into Rampage and thanks for becoming such a great friend.

To everyone who is having a go at Nick about the lift... Let's just get a few things straight here as I was part of the crew who filmed with Nick in Chatel when the lift incident happened (our full video is here: www.pinkbike.com/video/280419). On the day, we had a number of lift passes and unfortunately, Nick just happened to put the out of date one in his pocket when he went back to the lift in between runs. Normally, you're with your bike before the gate lets you through but unfortunately, the lift attendants had already put Nick's bike on the lift and it was long gone along with his bag, CB radio and the correct pass. Like the majority of people who find themselves in that sort of position, a little bit of panic sets in and hey, we're all human and no one was hurt in the making of this segment. Let's not forget Nick had just recovered from a serious crash the day before at Mountain Style. We were so happy he managed to get himself back on the mountain-side to shoot with us and he was a complete professional throughout. We're looking forward to catching up with you this year Nick!

I rarely post Comments but Im going to this time...I try to ignore the haters trolling PB dropping Douche Waffles out of their Douche Choppers but this is perplexing to me. PB is for the sharing, encouragement, learning and general LOVE for biking that we all enjoy. There is no room for the haters here. Nobody cares what the haters think. If these people spent half the time riding as they do hating they might grow from their insecurities and be able to actually post something positive. Americans this...Americans that...blah blah blah. Again, here there should be no definite dividing line between country, race, age, male or female. We are all on here for the same reason. If you are not here for that...you might as well leave because you are vastly outnumbered. Thank you SMK-Media and Simcik for sharing. I enjoyed it and look forward to shredding a trail when I move back to CO...10 months counting and cant wait to be back in CO!

When you're in his shoes and lived his experience, then maybe talk yer smack. Nick is among the coolest, considerate riders I've met or interacted with (and only briefly) and can really thrown down... Where the edits of your big mountain riding?

My riding skills (or lack-there-of) are not posted in this video here. Only a shining example of why Americans are hated the world over... What on earth was the purpose of including that clip is what I'm really wondering. If he's cool and considerate, this video sure didn't show it.

yeah, I'm a jealous prick as an American living in the Alps riding sweet trails in my backyard? Ummmmm, no. What I am is a guest in another culture and if I don't understand what someone's saying to me, the last thing I do is get mad and throw a tantrum. I'm sure he's the "coolest' dude ever, but the video sure doesn't show it....

Thank you dspaulson...next time I will put Nick singing Peanut Butter Jelly Time in there instead of that shot...I was just trying to transition inbetween segments smoothly but yea I appreciate the critique as how the video didnt show it with Nick getting discouraged... Nick is a good guy.

Well, I was waitn fo the big stuff..?
Talkin rampage game, but none of this riding was remotley close.
A 20 sec video of a few big drops or gaps would have been a better. Footage/riding that says, hey im goin big and fast, keep me on the rampage radar!
