Last Ride At Teds

 It's sad indeed. Hopefully some sort of solution can be reached and a legal bike park can be developed. I'm glad you like it, it means a lot.

 What have you heard? Are the trails leading into the bowl safe or are they going to rip them up too?

 Yeah so much work had just been put into them. It's really sad just how much time was destroyed

 Not that I don't know where to find the hidden dh gems round here, but teds was my reason for having a dh bike.. almost might have to get an enduro rig again to make my local spots more accessible

 Yeah, everything here seems too focused on xc, but I guess that's what the majority does. Hopefully sdmba will make a sanctioned dh place. I think black mountain would be a good place, just have it going down the mountain, not across. And something bike only would be great too. I get multi use xc trails, but it would be great to have a trail you could just open up on and pin it. That's where teds was great

 i just met with this guy Kirk who's an SDMBA member and he said they've been approved for a DH line at Black Mtn. He is sending me the email with details. ill let you know if its legit. also we are planning to build a little skills jump park soon off mission gorge where there was an old bmx park. we are waiting to hear on the cities approval of our design. (we had to stick to some guidelines: beginner to advanced) but once the city approves there will def be some dh features within the little confines of the area that could potentially be fun. i literally just bought a DH bike 2 weeks before teds went down. i just fixed the ruts in the step downs at the top and andy p was going nuts making it all prime. such a bummer.

 That's great news!! Hopefully they work out. I'm going to the meeting Monday so I'm sure that will be discussed. Andy was doing so much, Ted's was so great right now.

 Seriously, what Andy was doing was art. Hope the black mountain dh is legit! And hopefully if it goes through its not sidewalk down the mountain haha
