I thought it was a good idea...
We all have a fear of failure, that’s human nature. I had to leave the Los Angeles shoot this past march with the sounds of failure ringing in my ears, being unable to pull off one particularly rad stunt. When there’s a challenge that I can’t conquer, I love turning that energy into motivation to improve. Oak tree, don’t worry, I’ll be back!

Thanks Barkit!!! I rode trials for about a year as a kid, at around 12 year old or so. I entered a bunch of competitions and read every issue of Observed Trials Mag that I could find. I got burned out pretty quick though. Within a year or so. I never had a real trials bike, I just used my old Bontrager XC hardtail and an old SC Chameleon. I was also riding a lot of BMX, and found that BMX was more dynamic, since we were trying to do similar stuff but with more fluidity and more speed. The competitions had too much small stuff that wasn't exciting and didn't hold my focus, and the more advanced classes had some gnarly moves that were just too far beyond me, so I pretty much forgot about it all and just rode the BMX bike for years and years. Riding BMX every.single.day in high school was a HUGE skill builder! That, and just riding a bike every day will drastically improve your understanding of the bike. Thanks for watching!!!

Talking about skills, how did you master those trials moves Jeff, did you learn them all by yourself?
Also, how long did it take to build up these skills and this confidence on the bike?
Keep it up, those videos are awesome
