Neko recently had the chance to design and build his very own test track with features that he would like to practice and to tune his bike for big races. The result? Bailey Mountain Bike Park in Asheville, North Carolina. With help from his friend Steve Wentz from Momentum Trail in CO, this trail has turned out to look like one hell of a good time.
@dannygoesmtb: I've ridden it. Super fun place! In comparison to hardline it's rideable. Haha. The Miller family is awesome. Windrock, TN is also gnarly. Even more like a WC DH track (just more steep rocky gnar). Neko and the Shaw boys other training ground.
Hardline is nuts! But this track was created for testing/training, Hardline was created to push the limits for what a WC racer could actually race down.
I have to image training on the Hardline it would be to possible to injure yourself frequently resulting in maybe missing races.
That being said this track looks FUN - your killin it Neko!
Bailey's is a totally awesome place to ride and Neko is a super nice and very down to earth guy. The Millers that run this place are just the most awesome ppl you will ever meet and they have built a awesome trail system. I will be heading back up there ina few weeks.
I'm a big Neko fan - he's super nice - but c'mon Pinkbike? Bailey Mtn Bike Park is in Mars Hill not Asheville - 25-30mins North at least and nearly an hour from Neko's backyard. Give Mars Hill, NC a share of the WNC spotlight! ????????????????
he makes it look easy. That road gap can fit a whole LMRV (army troop transport truck) under it. Literally thats what bailey uses to shuttle and it fits under it.
That was a bit of a burler. Barely looked like 'dere was a trail 'dere in some spots, mofo railed it anyways with that big hit at the beginnin' even. "O.O"
@abef: totally! Lots of cats on trail bikes when I've been. Certainly have more fun on the big bike, though! Well, if you're ham fisted like I am anyway...
@abef: You can ride a 150mm bike there, I have ridden it on a 160mm bike. That said, a downhill or park bike would be by and far a better choice and I believe that they even recommend a full downhill bike on their website
Sooooo... he drives up to the top alone, drops down, gets to the bottom and then what? Pedals his DH bike back up? Pushes it? This video is completely unrealistic! REEEEE!!! =D
I have to image training on the Hardline it would be to possible to injure yourself frequently resulting in maybe missing races.

How's the humidity and mosquitos there though?
