I hear it has been dumping rain so Danny will be having a killer time

Life goal, see Danny riding his bike in the whistler village, shout "GET OFF YA BIKE DANNY!"

I don't care if timed trainings are meaningless, it always good to see Hart and Hill at the top!
  • 3 1
Well they're not entirely meaningless... I mean uh... they tell you that uh... whoa, hey guys, Ragot is up by 23 seconds and up by almost a minute and a half on Hannah!
  • 8 0
Rachel is only back by 46 minutes!!
  • 29 5
I want Sam Hill to win, and everyone else to lose. I believe that expressing this opinion will help me (sorry, will help Sam) achieve that goal. So help me, sorry, him God
  • 9 0
with ya on this, waki. it's time again for hill. i believe (could be wrong) sam is the rider originally responsible for warner's "look at the time!". hehe
  • 5 2
I hope for Steve to take his first of the season
  • 3 0
Stevie is done, blew his other ankle.
  • 1 0
I hear you, I want Sam to win so bad. Dude pretty much has to be your idol if you ride a DH bike.
  • 1 0
Mnaeee, I don't really care who wins. It's a race so someone will win and be happy. I dobt even have time to watch it, but Im happy that so many people will. So as much as I truly like Sam's style recognize his achievements and iconic runs, I was just trolling.
  • 2 0
 Waki, you'd never do that.
  • 1 0
i believe you, waki...about both parts.
  • 1 0
You should not have believed me, for virtue cannot so inoculate our old stock but we shall relish of it

No, in the same way you can't 'win' qualis. Qualification gives the start order of the race. Fastest in qualification is the last down the mountain. Only finals gives the rider points for the overall.
  • 16 0
 Quali's give points - 50 points for 1st
  • 3 1
You can win seeding, there are points. 50 for fastest in seeding. 200 for winning on race day. 250 points up for grabs at each round.
  • 3 0
win 4 qualis and it's worth a Round win in points
  • 1 0
 Funny.
  • 7 1
Technically, it's not seeding. It's qualification -- you have to qualify to race here. Seeding is simply a running order. Wink
  • 1 1
@massini64 Oh yeah I totally agree!
Except how you were wrong about everything you said in that comment. Winner of qualies get 50 points.
  • 2 0
 Fair enough @ambatt.
  • 1 0
 Fairclough!
  • 9 0
 Danny Hill for the win!
  • 6 0
Where was Gee Atherton? Looked through the list twice... still didn't see him.
  • 11 2
Maybe he took another tree in his balls like last year
  • 2 0
Looks like a lot of riders chose not to do this timed practice. Even Rachael pulled a 52 minute run according to this sheet. Maybe she rode back to the top lol. Luca Shaw looking to do big things this weekend.

Gee was at the hospital getting X-Rays. At least he already knows how to get there.
  • 3 0
X-rays? Do you know what happened? Damn I want him to fly down this course!
  • 1 0
He took a beater on one of the rock slab sections. Dan Brown said he went "all the way down it". I guess we'll see in the morning how banged up he is. He seems to have a bit of a curse on this track - which is too bad because he is also really fast here.
  • 1 0
 Btw Stevie is out too
  • 1 0
Not Stevie too! This is a major tragedy!
  • 3 0
OK I do love the top 3 atm, I do love Steve Smith too ( maybe a bit too much) But I'm so glad to see Minaar im top 5 ! I always rooted for him and peaty since the begining of my WC history. GO get them Minaar! Styles for miles and inspiration for me as a rider! I'll be screaming for all of those nuts on the track tough!
  • 3 0
You do realize the connotation of ATM right?
  • 1 0
I also really like the top 3 men ATM Smile
  • 1 0
well, you dirty mind! it could also refer to '' at the moment''. I'll never be lazy again because of you!
  • 1 0
It could... it sure could Wink
  • 4 0
Stay on your bike Sam! Smile top step podium waiting for you xome race day.. Good luck.

Hart and Hill in 1 and 2!!! Must be a real man's DH track then?
Yeh yeh it's only timed training, bla bla bla...
  • 1 0
 rain...
  • 4 0
so would race pace be in the 4min range?
  • 6 1
Smiths winning time last year was 3.58 and I dont think the changes to the course will have done a vast amount to slow the track. You have to assume that Harts time is well off full race pace. For the girls, Ragot took the win in 4.25 last year so she is sand bagging and its not even worth looking at the other times. I dont understand the point of timed practice, I bet their own on board timing gives them sectional speed info they use for more meaningful info.
  • 1 0
 good info. appreciated,sir.
  • 1 0
Hart looked like he was going full on. I saw him as he was entering the first woods and he was already breathing really hard. The new top is slower (but not slow), but also cuts off some distance, so not sure what that does for times. I think slower than last year.

is it just my comp spazzing out or is the womens sheet all messed up? as far as i can tell myriam nicole now rides for "coffee cal" and gee athertons sis is called Razkel Atsertol
  • 4 0
Minnaar owned this track several times - Never bet against him.
  • 4 2
Crazy that top 3 are all within a second. Things are going to get interesting!
  • 1 0
Not uncommon for top 5 to be within a second on raceday. When shit gets serious everyone goes all or nothing!
  • 1 0
wasn't it almost the top 15 at Ft. Bill?
  • 4 0
 wheres gwin at?
  • 7 1

Timed training, yeah good to see SH and DH at top, but this is not qualis or seeding runs, timed training hello, hence why lot of big names at back at mo, get excited just dont read too much on most big names yet, plus top 20 are protected!
  • 4 0
 Gwin for the win!
  • 2 1
Eliot Jackson FTW! Ok, that's not likely so I will go with Gwin, Smith or Mik - wait - Mik's still out - Minnaar - wait - PEATY! FTW.
