It has been a long road but finally, Retallack Lodge is approved for the World’s largest Commercial Mountain Biking Tenure, 350km of epic single track over 1.5 million acres to be exact.

2014 Trail expansions saw 20 km of Enduro/All Mountain and DH Single track handbuilt by our outstanding trail crew. Our new crowning jewel “State of Mine” which descends 6000ft over 17kms of trail from Reco Peak to the Lodge was built with collaboration of Freehub Magazine and an amazing crew of builders from Bellingham. Together the Peak to Creek series was produced and if you haven’t seen it check it out here.

Legend Paddy Kaye and the crew from Joyride Bike Parks joined for the 4th year in a row! Since building our first trail “Joyride” back in 2011, he has been committed to our program. "Joyride" has seen a major expansion and is hard to believe that it is the same trail from what it once was. We knew there was good dirt in there but PK took it to a new level! You've never seen brown pow like this before!

Trail Maintenance:
Retallack trails are known for the fresh loam and shredability. Continuous trail maintenance and improvements to our existing trails like Kessel, Choices, Joyride, Powerslave, and our newest addition: State Of Mine, is at the top of our priority list. We don’t like blown out lines and brake rutted corners. We are mountain biking’s premium spot to ride. Every year our trails get the love they deserve to stay in mint shape.

Part of the wide range of rider ability and styles that Retallack commits to catering, we are making another massive push to expand the Enduro/AM trail network. We believe that fellow riders should be able to ride and enjoy the same trails no matter their skill level or bike type.

We are excited to be hosting some legends of the sport yet again: Richie Schley, Brett Tippie and Wade Simmons will once again join us, as well as Lindsay Vories and the Ladies All-ride, Katrina Strand brings back her first rate professional skills, and lead guide Mike Kinrade hosts another epic weekend. One more thing... the BC Enduro Series is having their grand finale here with us Sept 5th and 6th. Please contact us for details!

With 3 trails descending 6000 ft and a variety of others ranging from 2500 to 4500, we set last season’s daily record at 17,000 vertical ft in a single day during the Legend’s trip. Anyone think the can beat that this year?

Hope to see you all out this way! For more info please call 1-800-330-1433, email info@retallack.com or visit www.RETALLACK.com

Some of the best riding I've EVER experienced ANYWHERE on Earth. Brown pow loam everywhere with sculpted berms, jumps, trail pops, tech, alpine heli biking, gourmet food every night and that friendly, funky Kootenays vibe at the lodge. Retallack is truly MAGIC!!

Just wait Tipster...Taking it to a new level this year. Let's ride bro!

Might have to find some time to get out there this summer. Especially after watching Peak to Creek!

It's been on my radar for a few years now, and the Peak to Creek series solidified that need to get there.

That grin at the top, that makes me want to go!

 let me die there

Call to inquire about our special one-day "Last Ride" package, which includes helicopter lift up AND down, plus your choice of meal...

I'll be booking a crew for my 40th bday year next year. Planning a week off for bike riding through The okanagan and the Kootenays capping it off at RETALLACK!!!!

The trails are amazing but the lodge is a dump. Save your money and shuttle it on your own. After 2 nights the lodge was so filthy we had to wear our shoes everywhere. The heli drop was a dinky hiking trail with 10 kms of road, you can push up in 45 mins and save yourself 500 bucks. Great trails but it should be a quarter of the cost, glorified camping at best.

well, at more than half a grand per day it's no wonder that there are no crowds to be seen. Well, to each their own...

@Kainerm-I hear you but if you forgo the days helibiking it is almost a reasonable 370 bucks a day-all shuttles, accomodation, meals and it would seem a once in a lifetime wilderness experience. I reckon anywhere you go with lifts and accommodation (if you are unlucky enough not to have friends in the area) for mountain biking must be about this much. It is not as if you are going to Retallack every weekend......if some of you do.....lucky bastards.I know it I am every lucky enough to go to BC I would scrimp and save for a three day trip-there just isn't anything that comes close in Oz and maybe even NZ (I may be wrong with NZ). And it was pretty inspirational that edit on the track they built from Peak to Creek(?). I guess we can all dream!

oh, sure enough. I don't think it is overpriced either - it's just a pricey adventure. I couldn't bring myself to spend 1600$ for three days of biking though. For those that are OK with that kind of a spend, this sure is a fantastic offer...
  • 4 2
at 1600$ you could ride Whistler for 2 months, thats including rent and food. just sayin.

For three days at the colorado freeride festival staying at a hotel, eating at Winter Park, and not including anymore purchases runs close to 1000 bucks, Just to put it into perspective

 Good point. U do that...
  • 2 0
Meals are included, I wonder if they offer vegan options for riders like me.
  • 5 0
We happy cater to all Dietary requirements
  • 1 0
i can imagine u would be catered for no problems
  • 1 0
Awesome thanks, stoked to get out there.

Can an individual come up and do a single day or do you need to book in 3 day blocks as a group?
  • 2 1
It's impossible to ride all that Retallack has to offer in even 3 days, so 1 day will have you departing in tears. Give us an email or call and we can figure something out.

Did I just saw a Top Gear episode where Jeremy and James spend the night at Retallack Lodge!? Big Grin
  • 2 0
Yeah man that was great , I was surprised too

This place looks like heaven on earth. Do you guys only do large group rates? I wonder how far out you have to book to get 5 days there in the summer.
  • 2 0
It's always good to book a little more in advance if you want a longer trip but we definitely work with you. Come 1 come all!
  • 1 0
sweet! thanks guys. I will definitely be coming next summer.
  • 3 1
Had to think a while, but I knew I know that voice in the end! Smile
  • 4 5
Was it the guy from life cycles that got way to deep for a mtb movie
  • 24 2
No intention of sounding butthurt, but Life Cycles is a masterpiece as whole and it stands as a serious reflection of the soul. Perhaps it is too serious for some, but it's intent was to make you think not just about mountain biking, but your life as a whole and what role rolling around on two wheels means to how you live the rest of your life.
  • 2 5
 I never said it wasn't...
  • 1 0
Correct me if im wrong, there is no lift access here right? Either way that looks like one of the best place ever for dh
  • 3 0
They have shuttle and heli programs
  • 1 0
@enduro94 I am with you there 100%. I may need to dig that out and throw it in while I replace some spokes tonight.
  • 5 4
I would eat the corn out of Marty Miles's shit for just one day at Retallack.
  • 8 2
 Too far bro!!!
  • 3 1

Thats an amazing video nice music and edit. Trail looks to epic to be true nice work
  • 1 0
Is there are place in BC with similar amenities and scenery for the trail/XC crowd?
  • 6 1
Our trail network is developed around the Trail/Enduro rider. We also offer gravity assisted XC packages where we drive riders to the top and you can pedal around in the alpine.
thx
  • 1 0
@jimeg I'm more of a trail/xc guy too and I've been wanting to get there for a few years. I'm hoping it's not too far off in the future.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it might be a good fit for a trail rider with a rowdy side. The promo video shows a lot of dual crowns - not that there is anything wrong with that for what it is. So I got a different impression.
  • 1 1
Best riding+Pow skiing combo in the world ?! (I wonder how are the trails in Japan though??)
  • 1 0
PS I loved the trail building series you did. I learned so much.
