I was secretly hoping intern would go and just case the jumps hard.

 yeah man, you are a bit of a muppet if you think brandons jumps are worse than pilgrims. Semenuks jumps are works of art!

 f*ckin Sam Pilgrim, so sick of all his dick riders and good results in the FMB. The dude rides mountain bikes but is afraid of the mountains. Isn't he one of those pussies that voluntarily didn't ride his finals run at the biggest, most important contest in the history of slopestyle mountain biking? He sure can kill it in the skate park and small dj's though. Semenuk's yard for the win

 Pilgrim didn't qualify for X Games finals. He has finished 5th, 9th and 7th in the last three chatel mountain style contests - it definitely isn't a skate park there!

 @gavlaa: I havent seen sam pilgrims setup or where he lives for that matter but I can almost guarantee that it doesnt come close to the beauty of the sunshine coast. They also have a very extensive network of dh trails in arguably one of the best areas to live in BC and to ride a bike. Not to mention some of the nicest people and a relatively small tourist population. Just a quick ferry and a drive to North Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and beyond.... I think Ill take that over pretty much anywhere thanks!

 A567 - My extensive internet forum research, which we all know is very reliable, says otherwise. Seen on several websites where people were discussing how Sam did not take his qualifying run because he was surfing the day before in the city and "bruised his leg". Did you take the time to read the Pbike feature where the riders gave their final thoughts after the event? Sam changed his story from "bruised leg" to this..

"It was so sick that MTB slopestyle was finally in X Games, it was our chance to show off, but I feel like the course was pretty bad and this was nothing to do with the builders. I guess they were given an area to work with and they built something they thought would be cool, but in reality it wasn't fun to ride and apparently, you had to be a 4x racer to hit the satellite dish haha. For me it was just not cool at all, but other riders may disagree, I just had no fun riding the course! We all started riding bikes for the fun aspect, so when I ain't having fun I don't wanna do it. Let's get more courses built like Bearclaw's contest in the future, courses that we actually wanna ride all day long!"

He's not foolin anybody except his loyal UK fans who refuse to believe he is a pussy when compared to the likes of Sorge, Rheeder, Zink, Semenuk, hell most of the damn slopestyle field.

 semanuk got styles, ballz and skills. Pilgrim got style and skills and ride for fun not for his sponsors both great rider

 Look at Zink, bruised and battered but still gives it his best. Go big or go home. But if you're leaving, take your whining with you.

 It's hard to criticize when you aren't gonna be as good as these guys but the truth is Pilgrim seems to back out when things get really big . RAMPAGE and XGAMES.

 Some of the replies to my JOKE comment are hilarious. I cannot believe so many muppets thought I was being serious. Pilgrim's jumps are SHADY!!! @csermonet - you clearly don't know UK weather. They're in probably the driest part of the country (SE). That's the one good thing about em!

 gavlaa - the replies certainly are a joke in themselves but the Pilgrim bashing is really quite crappy - horses for courses guys - these guys are all fucking shit-hot and the attitudes of late are something i was hoping not to find in this sport - thought i had let the pissy pants name calling in the gadget world - appears not

 @csermonet you also changed your story about how pilgrim was a pussy by not riding in the finals to why he didn't ride well in qualifying - it was because of both reasons. In a short interview in MBUK magazine pilgrim explained that he crashed in Rampage qualifications because he discovered that you need a full on downhill bike. Pilgrim may not be as good of a rider as Semenuk, Bearclaw, Sorge, Rheeder etc. at big mountain riding and big slopestyle events and his yard may be pretty crap compared to Semenuk's but he certainly isn't a pussy - you obviously really hate pilgrim for some reason or another.

 Yep the Pilgrim bashing is a poor show. Can't believe some Semenuk fans are slating Pilgs for not doing his X games run when Semenuk has chosen not to do half the bloody season!!! They all have a right to make their own decisions. Pretty much all our athletes are a credit to the sport- we should learn to respect them for their differences rather than use them to compare them and bitch about them.

 Considering semenuk spent most of last season with a f*cked shoulder he kept riding tho so its no wonder he's taking it easy atm and chilling with buddies

 Well no he's filming right now he's not ''taking it easy'' by any means. So f*cking what Pilgrim would rather ride skatepark's and smaller jumps than Semenuk? It's like I'd rather ride my local downhill trails than hang with my buddies at the skatepark, it's what you prefer to ride, so stop bashing someone because of what they don't want to and do want to ride, you guys need to f*cking let X-Games go, it wasn't the best course so no wonder he didn't ride it? Just stop moaning about HIS goddamn choices!
