Nice. This photo has the quality and riding to get POD unlike a lot of the stuff posted on here recently. I'm starting to think that the recent POD's are really going down hill and not in the fun way. I'd be happy to see this as POD.
really intense photo, it is a photo like that that can inspire someone to start mtb'ing, props to the camera man!
that is an amazing pic., great bike, and Its cool because I have never seen a close-up of a bike being bottomed like that!
trickn0l0gy... you're dumb... his fork has MAYBE 2 or 3 inches left before he bottoms... think before you talk
we are talking rear shock hear brosif. We know 40's are the shit and that they are bottomless, come on, get with it =)
trickn0l0gy- if your nipples are in front of your bars in a berm like that, you are sacrificing a lot of speed, but if you are good enough to critique a yeti/fox factory rider's setup, don't listen to me or anyone on pinkbike
if your nippels are in front of your bars in a corner you can't steer and then crash!! also it looks totally gay.. but maybe he's drunken, when he critizes the riding of justin leov..
trickn0l0gy, you don't seem to know alot about fox 40's. let me explain, you see, the lower crown of the fox 40 is flat, not curved, so if you totally bottom the fork out, the front wheel would hit it, and thus, send you flying. so you have to set the forks up properly, so that they don't totally bottom, to avert disaster
leov runs his fork at 7 inches of travel. he has to run it stiff so he doesn't bottom it all the time.
OMFG, 289 idiots didn't get the irony about that "nipples in front of the handlebar". of course that wasn't meant literally. better luck next time.
Tricknology, the suspension fork is only suposed to have roughly 20% sag where the rear shock is close to double that. It's not completly a matter of his weight, just how the bike is set up.
plus the rear travel isn't fully bottomed out. The spring is fully compressed but there is still a lil way to go on the rails
maybe... he's squaring off out of the turn, so the front isn't compressed as much cuz he's pulling up.
hes leaning back because thats what you do on a berm to carry your speed through it and come out fast

Super cool shot! The dust left behind him and the back ground being slightly blurred gives you the sensation of mach-9 pinning'er. This shot also exclaims loudly "Look at me, I've got a 303!" Great shot!
I love the way the suspension is almost completly compressed. Man he's just going to shot out of that berm
Agreed! I will actually be dissapointed if this doesnt make POD. Imagine the positive G's going into a berm that fast.
This it like one of the last corners comming up to the finish line in MSA.. Anybody whos whatched Earthed 5 knows that Justin is comming into this corner pinnin it, He even shoots up dusts in the photographers face... Amazing shot by the way!!
he's a genuine Yeti man, yeti socks and everything. I bet he's got a yeti toothbrush and drinks yeti cola!!!
Swee6t bike and sweet riding.Regards to the first couple of comments he is pulling his front wheel around to exit the berm and because he is about to start riding off the berm he has shifted his weight to the back wheel so that y he has full compression on back shock.
you're right, coming out of hi speed corners being leaned front is not desirable if the rider wants to have everything under control. sick pic too!!

i love how the front tyre is kicking up the dirt, looks like his destroying the earth as his riding
POD!

re. "chainslayer" - its an april fools gag from yesterday, fear not.
Very nice pic, gives a great sense of speed through the corner. Wider angle could've been a bit nicer but, hey, I'm no photographer.

Haha, it would seem they're simply trying to ease us out of the chainslayer thing, but having a POD that almost resembles a dirtbike. Great shot.
theres a photo of that corner in a dirt issue, its got some other riders on the same corner and sam hill doesnt even use the berm he just cut straight round it.
Is it just me or is the rear tire very close to the frame, almost touching. Look just above the Y in yeti on the rear of the frame at one of the pivots

all that linkages and pivots in the rear suspension makes me want to throw up... but the picture and the rider are amazing!!!!!!!!!
what a stupid thing to do, not give the props to those who desserve it, obviously the best comment is not posted yet, your all a bunch of sillies.
who says he's even bottomed out? there's still some space between the coils and depending on leverage ratios and such he could still have a couple inches to go. awesome pic.

I found this funny from tricknology;
"Notice how the rear is totally bottomed out, but the fork isn't? Either the setup is wrong or he should shift his weight further up front, sam-hill-style. Unless your nipples are in front of your handlebar, you won't be putting enough pressure on your front tire".
AHAHAHAHA, he sounds like he knows what hes on about...
Not!!!!

the pic is pretty good taken, just look at the position the pic was taken from, also the rear suspention is all the way to the bottom and the rear travel is all to the fardest it can get, it just looks like a bmx bike, that is what i like.
i love how all these kids are saying he's riding all wrong... you must be much better right... no! kick ass pod regardless of what all these kids are saying.
