epic pod! stoked to see lots of biking here in the city! i just moved to calgary and im big in dh and trail riding but dont know any trails nearby! anyone wanna take me on a group ride? XD
Middle of the trail? That trail i believe is in the middle on the Calgary. Well not the exact middle but well within city limits. I believe thats Eastlands by COP. There are a couple old cars and other stuff in them woods, if you could look the other you would see massive urban sprawl
Nothing but rain for the last month. A city of 1 million just shutdown due to a flood. Many of the trails were washed out. Can't get to the mountains to ride because the bridges washed out. Still want our weather?
Rain for a month? more like a week or two. More rain than we had last year in all of June came down in 3 days!!! You can still get to Moose through the back way as well its just a longggggg drive but im considering just going out and camping with the bikes for a weekend. Empty trails and empty campgrounds and lots of beer!!!!!! and exclamation marks
Up to 400mm (that's 16") in 2 1/2 days in K-Country. I think we an put the bikes down and help out for a while... pretty much the whole backcountry landscape has changed.
So the gravel road west of forget me not is also closed? It will open long before the bridge I would hope because not riding moose for the rest of the season means COP are the gnarliest trails in town..... Im all for putting recreational activities aside to help out others especially considering we have been relatively dry in priddis compared to the devastation in bragg but everyone needs a little escape from the floods sometime!
