Review: Zerode G3 - A Belt Driven, Gearbox Equipped DH Bike
The Kavenz uses a lot more anti squat at sag, at least 150 percent. The Zerode has about 100 percent. The Deviate Claymore uses about 135 percent in the climb gears and 90 percent in the smallest cog. The Deviate is said to pedal fairly well, though the axle path is less rearward then both. The extension under bob should waste more energy then just the bob alone. Also, the old DW link design found 135 percent to eliminate most bob while still tracking bumps under pedaling. Bump tracking shouldn't be an issue with high pivots, so maybe Kavenz found a new sweet spot. Also, I though Gates didn't recommend sprockets as small as those idlers?

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
Any change in bar height effectively changes reach whether that is through a stem, riser bars, or spacers... Riser stems would be cool though. Riser bars sometimes tweek out of line at 30mm and up. I don't really need more than 25mm between the stem and bar height to clear my chest. Though brage vestivak probably needs the extra stem clearance for his helmet's chin guard

First Look: The 2024 Fox 32 Step-Cast Fork Has a Reverse Arch
@atestisthis: this is pretty intricate for a cast design. Mattel and hotwheels must be jealous.

Just 3d print a plastic fender that integrates around the arch. Mud collection problem and aerodynamic problem solved.

First Look: Lee Cougan Crossfire Trail XC Bike
@justinfoil: well, yes and no, you could compensate with spacers. But as far as the overall spring curve, a fair few of the flex stay bikes try to add spring at the top and reduce spring rate at bottom out - more linear, and also better off the top pedaling... sometimes it doesn't quite mesh with the size of the negative spring on the aircan. Spring, damper and kinematics combine to make quite different bikes...

Actually when the pivot flexes the most influences the spring rate... flex pivots can feel very different from identically placed pivots, especially across different shock pressures or maybe even spring rates

Video: How Long Should a Wheel Last? | Pinkbike Weekly Show Ep. 15
5,000 miles on stans arch's before the rim holes fatigued and cracked (all 28 at onces basically, one more than the others) Roughly 3500 miles on some carbon rims from a company that no longer exists, roughly 150 miles of which were in whistler 3600 miles on my 24 hole gravel carbon (Synergy branded) front wheel, fatigue and delamination, rear with 28 holes is okay but damaged from potholes Over 10 ft to flat on my Nextie carbon front bmx rim, still going string despite some bent spokes from that and a bent steerer tube Carbonfan mtb rims cracked at the nipples, 3000 miles, currently used to install rimpact inserts Stans flow 26 inch 28 hole, about 1500 miles on my xc bike, currently being used as the spare on my dirtjumper, not dead yet Stans flow 29 that replaced my arch under warranty i think made it 3500 miles So I am not really getting any extra life out of carbon except on the bmx bike for which i have ovalized multiple aluminum rims in short order. I should probably start building my own wheels with washers...
