bigquotesMONS means 'mountains' in Latin. It's a place where MONS team draws their inspiration in creation of the MONS frames. Like the majority of riders, we not only mountain bike in bike parks with terrain ideal for downhill bikes, but also on much more natural terrain that can be considerably more unpredictable. That is why our MONS team tried to adjust the Rebec's frame geometry with maneuverability in mind, as well as consistent stability on fast, rocky trails. - Sam Stronger, downhill Rebec frame designer

About SAXO suspension:
The idea of Saxo suspension is a feel in combination with the balance of fast acceleration and acceptable pedal kick. The bike's leverage ratio curve shows an active and smooth reduction ratio as the suspension compresses over its eight inches of travel. Due to such construction, the stronger suspension compression, the more perceptible shock absorption works. Simply speaking, we get plush suspension in the beginning of the travel while also employing a steady ramp-up to prevent bottoming. The result is a supple feel that can withstand large impacts without the need to be constantly adjusting the shock to suit the terrain.

" Both ISCG 03 and 05". Thats cool and a very nice looking rig imo.
  • 52
dude its not a turner or a tr450 its its own design that some companys do use cant think of any off the top of my head but turners have a floating bar in the middle of the shock and rear triangle. an extra one i guess

  • 173
I like a grammar Nazis. Apparently nobody is teaching our youth how to communicate properly in school anymore so forums and comment sections may be the last hope to correct this problem. As a professional, I simply will not hire someone who has grammatical errors in their correspondence. Back to topic, looks like an awesome bike. Glad to hear they took into consideration normal people riding normal and varied terrain.

unless your an author who gives a flyin fuck about grammar I don't need to know how to spell to weld ur bike frame together
  • 20
look like flatline old model ....
  • 20
Not quite a Flatline. Different dropouts, different suspension link design and the Flatlines shock sits lower in the frame. ( I own a 08') But the bike does look burly. Starting price?
  • 50
Since MONS mtb is a new player we expect frames/frame set and complete bikes price close to 2 times lower than other well known brands. Final price will be disclosed in Autumn.

Bearclaw is a 15 year old troll look at his profile and comments on everything. Typical 15 year old has nothing to do with nationality
  • 21
But a 14-year old is different...? Smile
  • 10
It definitely looks like a Norco A-Line.
  • 10
How nobody has mentioned the 09-11 big hit similarities to most of the front triangle I will never know...
  • 10
@TomShark, My secondary DH/Freeride Bike is a White Bighit 3 2009 but the major difference is in the suspension. It's not as lateral as the Norco A-Line, that's why this frame looks so much more like a 2010 A-Line.
  • 20
Yeah totally agree. I have a 2011 Big Hit. The linkage is nothing like a BH, just the top tube, head tube and down tube look very similar.
  • 40
Hope your DH frame's quality and warranty will be inferior to none of other branded ones, if so i will take it.
What is warranty time?
  • 70
 - warranty: 3 years unlimited warranty
- quality: MONS frames (DH/FR/AM) already passed such laboratory tests as horizontal fatigue, vertical fatigue, pedaling fatigue and impact tests (falling frame n falling mass). Now frames are being tested by riders.

It really looks nice.. I want to know how does suspension work and how does it "feel" when ridden. I hope i get to try it someday.
Wish you good luck!
  • 30
thanks a million for wishing good luck. Hope also you will get that chance.
  • 10
this bike looks sick as shit one day I will own it
  • 83
Reminds me of the Rocky mountain rmx
  • 23
its more like flatline for me
  • 23
At least you didn't say a Session!
  • 21
I can kinda see how you got that RMX impression. I loved that bike back in the day. This one is definitely more aesthetically pleasing though, at least for current tastes.
  • 20
It's always agood thing to see new brand get into the game (at least to me). Good luck! I'd like to see your AM offerings soon, let's hope they will use the same suspension system!
  • 10
 thanks for warm words.
  • 10
I like it a lot! Nice to see that you are catering for everyone. I mean its always a pain having to buy a new wheelset or chain device when you buy a new frame or you buy a new frame dependant on what you already have and it might not be what you really want.
  • 10
yes, it's high time to launch a new customer service level like giving a chance for a customized orders from buyers.
Maybe, bike of your dream at last ?
  • 10
people need to realize that the looks of the bike mean jack shit who cares if u have a bike that looks sick or if the bike looks like this one or looks like that one the main point is performance not beauty if u have a sick looking bike but it doesn't perform what good is that
  • 20
Frame looks sick. Haters gonna hate. MONS, you keep your prices decent and this will have to become my new trail slayer. It's getting to be time to retire the Session 77.
  • 21
Reading this again you mention smooth reduction ratio as suspension compresses. An air shock wold work great with this combination.
  • 21
MONS mtb team will always accept customized orders for its frames so everyone can order any components/parts to complete it.
  • 20
the hole through the seat tube and the shock placement is a bit tr450-esq, i like it
  • 42
sweet looking frame! Now if only the chainstay length matched my favorite time of day . 420
  • 31
ide rock that sucker down some MONS for sure brah!
  • 33
 fuckkk yeaaaa
  • 10
I let my dog do things to my bum.
  • 20
Nice frame, needs work on the decals...
  • 51
Well, if you go really fast, nobody would be able to see them...Smile
  • 41
 Dear Lord. This is sexy.
  • 21
You might want to take a few links outta your chain before you ride it ( I.M.O.)
  • 12
I just realized that the "Looks like a ...(bike x)" crap will never end. As if two bikes that look similiar ride similiarly. Or that one is attempting to copy the other. Just give it a rest.
  • 10
It's so annoying everyone hates on anything new. There's so many out they will look alike just like cars
  • 10
Exactly.. I'd drive the crap out of a lambo despite my lack of enthusiasm for their aesthetics. I prefer to weight my impressions based on performance characteristics.
  • 10
The market research must've been done outside of Europe, because when I hear 'saxo' I think of the cheap, badly made car
  • 10
Although the frame does look sweet!
  • 10
personally for me 1-Design (external view), 2-suspenson performance and 3-price are final and essential
  • 10
Recall the Saxo VTS then think again... It was cheap but a very fun car, not "badly made" at all !
  • 20
"acceptable pedal kick" since when was pedal kick acceptable?
  • 10
looks more like a 2010 Commencal Supreme than a Norco. will be interesting to hear the prices.
  • 10
 flatline / dhr hybrid...
must of put it together in a rush. the chain looks ready to fall off.
  • 21
Nice take on a short-link 4-bar virtual pivot design.
  • 14
Steady ramp up to prevent bottoming?. I hope your talking about the dampning and not the leverage of the linkage. If the leverage increases the shock will bottom out more often. Stronger compression? That would mean a hi leverage. Sorry but low leverage with long travel shocks are proven to perform better.
Beautiful bike. I have to question whether you have your facts straight.
  • 12
Well yeah... falling leverage rate...steady ramp up...? Unless hes just wording it funny and it is actually an increasing ratio? That would make more sense. That would allow plush initial travel.. but hes claiming its lower ratio and easier to tune at end of stroke... i dunno.
  • 11
Your right, but I think you might have misunderstood. The wording is, the bikes leverage curve shows and active and smooth reduction. So the leverage ratio is getting lower and "ramping up" the shaft speeds of the shock.
  • 71
 And the chain is slack.
  • 41
The leverage is high at the beginning of the stroke. The leverage decreases at the end of the stroke(fully compressed) The shaft speed would slow down at the end of the stroke. leverage ratio,s affect the amount of force applied to the shock( compression).
The concept is sound but the wording in this article is a tad confusing.
  • 11
I think shold be: leverage go down, & force of, a shock "ramp-up"
  • 11
progressive suspension is all it is. Most companies do it and and computers are pretty good at figuring that out. just funny wording is all.
  • 21
@Sshredder, you don't understand. It might slow down, but only because the swing arm is slowing down at the end of its travel. That's not what he's saying. A lower leverage ratio means that the shaft velocity would increase relative to the translational velocity of the wheel.
  • 21
Just Leverage ratio image wasn't shown on this page, follow www.pinkbike.com/photo/9680778
leverage ratio of this frame has a falling down curve. Plush in the beginig of the stroke & bottomless in the end of the stroke. Design was made for spring dampers, not for air as we belive that Spring is much durable than Air.
  • 31
 @ jacque-lucque,
just wonder, how did you made such conclusion ? looking at Chainstay image only ?
  • 21
 @ cthorpe,
correct, of course progressive
  • 21
 @ Sshredder,
currently DH frames are being tested by riders and results will be posted in Autumn.
  • 811
I'd say from my extremely short experience with only one prototype under my belt: get rid of those adjustable drop outs in your first design. They are expensive to produce and hard to make durable and are defo not as stiff as normal ones.

Keep it simple
  • 91
Need to pass that info on to Intense too.................
  • 25
 Looks like a scalp
  • 70
Im on my second Intense with adjustable dropouts. Never a single issue. And being able to tweak the geo is an awesome feature i wouldn't want to be without now.
  • 33
not a scalp more like the back end of a commencal supreme and the front of a Norco shore
  • 15
flag sladevallydh (Jul 12, 2013 at 16:29) (Below Threshold)
It's a turner dhr, almost exactly the same ....
  • 12
fail. i've had not a single issue w/mine and, in fact it's one of the main reasons i chose it.
  • 31
It has a frame, a fork, and 2 wheels. They all look like bicycles, shut up with that stupid ass shit!
  • 21
WAKI, I agree with you. While neat, it just adds cost to the frame, and a possible weak link. Its not like anyone changes these things out for different trails, anyone who does just loves their bike, not riding it. Find what works the best and roll with it.
  • 11
For fks sake: I said as a first design. It took Intense 10 years and many frames to come with that isn't it? They kind of built their reputation first and then decided to ask 150$ for a drop out when you bend the hanger...

Making a drop out for Intense takes three passes on CNC machine out of almost an inch thick material. That means 3x more expensive than a standard drop out which can usualy be made in one pass. You can make it on 3d CNC - who has that after production upstart?

Sorry for thinking too deep. A tad deeper than "would it break", which I have absolutely no issues with and you put it into my mouth...
  • 10
looks like it weighs alot, bit chunky outback
  • 20
 looks like a GT chucker
  • 10
f*ck looks like some what part norco /tr450
  • 10
it looks like a mix between a turner DHR and a rocky mountain flatline Big Grin D
  • 10
I'm drooling a little.... Me likey mikey....

does the cockpit look really short to anyone else? good looking bike otherwise, though
  • 10
It's a DH bike. It's going to look short unless it was designed for Martin Soderstrom.

Hey Mons guys, just as a little friendly tip, you really need to work on your website...Smile
  • 10
noted but the website still under construction. Coming soon
