Each town in British Columbia seems to offer better singletrack than the last one visited. To prove what’s out there Dave Roth and Seb Kemp cycled, on mountain bikes, from Whistler around the Strait of Georgia, stopping in Squamish, the Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Cumberland, Hornby Island, Parksville, Duncan and Saturna Island.

This trip is about the pleasure of the road and the thrill of the trails. We want to show everyone that, yes, nothing is easy, but the rewards of seeking soothe all hardship.

We want to remind the world that adventure is on your own doorstep, if only you get off the couch to seek it. It is about celebrating the world we ride within. It is also about the communities and individuals that dare imagine, build, and nourish so that mountain biking can flourish.

Awesome. It's beautiful story but then when you realize that there was some camera crew all the time taking those shots you realize that the most amazing adventures are those captured only in your memeories.
  • + 3
 true to that!
  • + 9
And then one day you hit your head and you forget everything... Nothing wrong with documenting it and it doesn't lessen the experience.

I think they took all the footage themselves.
  • + 2
I still these videos help us to inspire to get out there and explore to create those memories.
  • + 4
I rode with them one of the days during the making of this video. The camera crew was two guys riding mountain bikes, just like the rest of us, each with a camera in their backpack. They would race ahead to find spots and film the group ride by, then hop on their bikes and catch up at the next rest spot. All four of them rode with us the whole day. It was all real and an awesome ride!!

B.C is every riders ultimate pilgrimage. One day I will make the journey over the big waters and join so many other passionate people among the mountain biking community.
  • + 8
 your welcome here anytime.
  • + 3
My plan is to move to B.C and start there my new liveSmile I hope.
  • + 5
My plan is to move across the country one day, get out of Ontario and into some serious riding. Its not bad here, but nothing lives up to the beauty, wonder and kindness of everyone out in B.C. One day North Shore, one day.

Damn it...and I'm still stuck in Norway...

There are very few videos that really take your breath away. This was one of them. One day, BC, I'll get you.
  • + 13
At first glance BC appears to have it all, but it's actually missing one thing... ME. :sigh:
  • + 11
Watching this video and reading some of the comments makes me realize how lucky I am to have been born and raised in BC.
  • + 9
I don't think I've been on a ride when me and whoever I'm riding with don't at some point look at one another and say something like, "we live here..." and laugh/smile. We'd probably weep if nobody was looking. It's never been lost on me. But nothing is truly perfect: riding in the pissing rain is the suck and that's the trade off.
  • + 2
The whole Pacific Northwest really pays for the lush greenery, but I would way rather ride in the rain for half a year than put my bike away and take up a winter sport.
  • + 2
 Cheers to that, ScandiumRider.
  • + 1
Looks like such a cool adventure, I have lived in this area my whole life and have been to all these communities, but need to bring a bike more often haha!

We now know the secret knock into the captains bridge lol

Whenever you try to mix oil & water, Seb Kemp & Dan Barham, you know it will be awesome. Fantastic portrait of BC biking chaps, tx's for including me !

This is easily one of the best videos I have ever seen on Pinkbike! It is also so fitting that hardtails were ridden in this video as they made this pilgrimage to the true mountain biking Mecca. Simplistic, pure, and natural is all I can think of.

Oh man. That video was incredible. I was planning on doing a very similar thing for this summer, but yours will top mine a hundred times over. My stoke level is through the roof right now. Thanks for posting! Now I just have to find a friend to join me this summer for my trip...

STOP THE BUS!!!!!!!! What is that coffee machine, grinder thing and where do I get one!!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant video also!
  • + 2
Videos like this truly make my day, but at the same time make me sad because it makes me realize that I live over 1,000 miles away from BC...
  • + 2
Just left me wanting more, a real snapshot, life on the road, adventure. And it took a tourist to make me want to MTB tour in the winter. Koodoos
